Well, what happened was during the smog test we started hearing a noise. The engine had sufficient levels of oil at the time and the sound wasn't directly RPM related. It sounded as if something was rattling around somewhere in the engine. I drove it home and parked it and began the research. Honestly, it would have been a freak accident for this noise to start when I drove it home. I listened to sound clips of dead timing chain guides and it sounded the same, so I proceeded to open 'er up.
Timing chain parts were worn and broken and I saw some metal shavings everywhere but I thought it was the result of these wearing out:
Now I am wondering wtf and think I have to do rod bearings... We think maybe the rod bearings were starved for oil the first seconds of running and spun. Won't know till I take her apart (probably on Sunday). G'damnit...

And nice collection. I just recently got my first airsoft gun. Funny thing is it was in the rado when I bought her. I had to crawl through the car to open the hatch and I see the pistol lying there. WOW. I was afraid until I saw 'REPLICA' on the side. Snatch reference there for people that didn't catch it

welded for the first time in years today....a pretty challenging job - i made a fire pit by welding a grate in a 55 gal drum (hobo stylz) which required me to weld thick angle iron at a right angle to thin drum metal....with a stick welder. i was surprised though once i got the hang of it i did pretty well. only 2 small holes in the barrel
oh and i built a beer pong table.....easy. as far as my car, it got kicked out of the garage for the night
