Has anyone tried one of these? http://www.sigmaautomotive.com...a.php
How is the reception? Does the fin stay stuck down, does it look decent?
I'm also thinking of running my XM antenna back there (from a Pioneer f700bt XM add-on) and hiding it underneath - anyone try this, does it affect the reception at all?
Alternatively, is there an OEM fin that gets XM/AM/FM reception I could replace the whip base with?
Thanks in advance,
-Matt
Yeah, I barely listen to AM/FM anyway, I just want it to be "ok."
I feel like the GPS can get signal anywhere, but the XM is a little more finicky - plastic should be invisible to the radio waves as long as there isn't much metal in the paint...
Does it stay stuck down pretty well? How does it look?
i've had mine on for a couple of months now, i've waxed it, washed it plenty of times, and have had no issues whatsoever. i personally love it on the car! but to each his own. i didnt notice any change in reception, but then again, it all depends on the terrain/environment you live in too.
