i cant seem to be happy with what i have
as of now
stock 9a bottom end
p&p 2.0 16v head
euro intake cam
brospeed 2.5 cat back
gsxr 1000 itb's
ms v3mrunning ms2e for fuel and spark
im looking to make a bit more power NA
i got my hands on a 1.8 16v head that i p&ped a good deal more than i did the last one.
the idea with this head is to make the valvetrain as light as i can. i am going with a .5 oversized valve, ti retainers, high rev springs, light weight lifters. i want to cut as much weight as possible from the valvetrain and any other rotating mass.
i am going to put a rather large cam in, probably a cat 275 or 279/268 set
to cut more weight i will be going with a light weight cam gear, itr shaft gear and, underdrive crank pully.
with this setup i hope to make about 200 at the crank ? may happen
i am also thinking of building the bottom end
but not sure what to do
i will most likely go with a forged rod probably IE rods or scat
but im not sure if i should buy pistons or just boost compression with a shorter head gasket
