i know this question has been asked numerous times. but id like to get the advice from ppl i know. but i think its time to loose the spring/shock combo and go with coilovers. now, whats a good affordable kit? something about racelands being $400 is scary too me. and i just cant see myself paying $1,200 or so for a kit. but is it really worth it?

I paid $800 for my koni coilovers from a paid advertiser on here. Based on what others where running this without a doubt was the best setup for my car and needs.

hmm. there $1400 on koni.com. i have koni shocks/struts now and i love them. awesome warranty aswell. but i know that your suppose to replace your shocks every 50,000 mi or so. so if i had to pay say $500 for a new kit every 4 yrs or so i wouldnt be mad.
but i dont want my car to ride like ass. i hear the cheap coilovers are bouncy.

I don't have experience with a bunch of brands, but I found that the bounciness (in my case anyways) was due to the bumpstops being too long. This may vary from brand to brand, but that is how I fixed the bounce. So depending on how low you take it, this may or may not be an issue.

The next thing to think about is whether you need rebound adjustability or are happy with a middle of the road ride. Personally I like mine to ride stiff, so adjustable damper was a good choice, but really comes down to what you are looking for in adjustability, ride quality, handling and how low you want to go.

As with anything, you get what you pay for. I haven't tried racelands, but for that price, seems like a low end product.

I went with FK. I wanted to be able to go low and potentially use them for bags. From what I read, they were up top on the list for the bag over coil option. That being said, they don't seem to have lasted as long as I would've liked. They seem to have developed a "clunk". Tim was telling me he is having the same problem. It's not bad yet, but I have to wonder how much life they have left. I have heard that getting replacement strut inserts is almost as expensive as just buying a new setup. Can't say I've priced it yet though.

I started with koni yellows and vogtland. A 1.5" drop and found that to be a better performing setup than my FKs. But alas I wanted more low.. So.. It's a give and take.

Well, Racelands are good to get you into coilovers. They are pretty decent for the price; however, if you want quality for a while then go with something else. I need to go ahead and replace the rear shocks that came with the Racelands because they are already blown, not to mention the fact that the front ones are a softening up over time.

I'll be getting air soon so it worked for me

Auto seat belt fit into that area.

93s had auto belts and no airbags (some)

94s use the same panels but had airbags.

95 airbags were required by law.
