Hey I'm looking forward to joining you guys next gtg.
I'm new to vortex but not to vag. I was referred by a coworker at bestbuy.
I have a vagcom usb key but it doesn't handle canbus. So if anyone has a Vagcom canbus capable,
I'm in need of some help. See you guys Thursday.

i still think this should be changed not on a thursday, thursday is still euro thursday at 99s in kingston, and i went to that last night and there was 20+ cars there last night and 99s wings are delicious

I have a lost communication to tcm and I want to look thru all the information and measuring blocks to see exactly the issue. Also my fob does not work and the key in the door does not open or close windows. But the key issues are not my main concerns

Thursdays are nice because people tend to make other plans on weekends and this gtg Is good for us on this side of the river. Conveniently located for those over in this area.

Haven't been out in a few weeks! Been busy, then was on vacation, and currently my car is at the body shop after a girl cut me off failing to yield at a light and wrecked my front end =[

hey i used to come by with my 79 rabbit tdi-m when you used to hang out at home depot in potwn on sats...
i still got the 79,but its not running right now.so as of april i got off my dead butt and got my old coop named sootyvag runnin...one of the guys at pough imported said theres a meet at the harbor frieght,or across the street on rt 9...
i saw somethin about the red robin at 7ish?
im lazy and dont wanna read 100 posts

joe!!!!its been too long!!! my 79 blew up on the way home from waterfest 07....its all torn apart now
then my dads hangar caved in from snow 2 yrs ago,and almost got the 79...so i been drivin a 98 tdi jetta and a 99 vr6 jetta...i got the coop out of storage in april(stored since 06) and got it goin...i got my vw penis back finally,yay
we r buying a house and gota go tomorrow nite to sign papers in wappengers and would like to swing thru...

I'm in need of some tdi in my life. The wrx gets 26mpg and I drive 30+k miles/year. It's getting expensive.

yea i was idling in a filthyjersey toll booth,and let out the clutch and it quit.glad i didnt try and crank it.so i paid the toll and popped the hood.the timing belt tensioner stud walked out.oops...suprisingly i wrenched for about 4 hours with a few rocks hammers and sticks and got it back together.it ran enough to get it home and when i did i parked it.when i popped the valve cover the lifters were all spiderweb cracked on the top so i bought a new head.i went and put new bearings and an oil pump in it and got upset and disinterested after starting to repair alot of rust.i bought a new floorpan but had no metal to attach it to.ive got some of it done,but i still gotta build another trans.besides still fixing alot of rust it needs alot to get goin again.
ive got like 4 or 5 k in new parts sitting there for inspiration and hope to get it goin in a few years,sheesh
so for now i figured instead of letting my dads old coop rust away anymore id get it drivable again.
yea i dont live there on 55 anymore but down in potwn...we are lookin at a house over near the overlook drive in so im still local.i drive a big nasty mitsu fuso for my job as a gen tech for h a schreck...i cant believe it happened but life stuff popped up and kept me from the 79 and the coop.well with the coop goin im closer to getting back to work on the 79 over the winter

this was the guy i saw in middletown who inspired me to get the coop out of storage..thanks vw dude whoevr u are

this was the day i got it out of storage,and the nasty work truck that makes yer butt sore
