Things are usually over by 9:00 or so, and for $5 you get to show your car and you're almost guaranteed a door price at the end.

went by bessengers, must have canceled the show.

I did see a clean Black MkIV Jetta, thought it might be Vinny, but didn't want to chase after you on 526. The car was pulling out of the McD's on 17 and then right onto 526 in WA.

BTW, I am looking for a '70-'80 Yamaha XS650, it HAS to be an XS. If anyone knows of someone that is getting rid of one or has one rotting under a deck, in a garage, shed, or under a tarp I am interested. I don't care really what condition it is in as long as it is mostly complete.

Are there any motorcycle salvage yards or junkyards with bikes? I have called MIDS and the place in North Chas, they don't want to sell me a semi-complete bike as it is worth more in parts.

It's like three hours but WELL worth it. The pad that they have the track on is PERFECT asphalt. It's so perfect that they have it insured and your not allowed to put anything metal in direct contact with it. i.e. If you change your tires for autocrossing you have to put some wood under your jack before you lift your car. The course is also among the largest you'll find for auto-x.

I may go up the night prior and get a room so I don[t have to leave at 0'dark 30 to get there in time...

Any other track enthusiasts out there? I just did a weekend at Roebling, and am doing another with the Dark Side May 2-3. Running track weekends is a great way to get to really know how your car performs.

They typically run around $250 for a weekend. There are other costs though, possibly hotel, brake pads, tires, gas (you can potentially eat a tank a day) etc.. It isn't the cheapest hobby, but its a lot of fun.

Ive heard reds was pretty good, but never heard of vickerys, unfortunetly i'll be heading back to indiana this coming saturday and wont be back til late tuesday early wednesday morning. BTW does anyone know who drives a passat vr6 with a duckbill front lip, badgesless grille and a kinda light grayish paint job? i saw him at sonic on folly road in james island.
