i wouldnt ship unless they are willing to pay for that and extra insurance. if it gets bent,chipped, ect they will be pissed. think in person sale is best imo. paypal is fine even for in person. shipping would be my only concern.

I worked the shipping into the price. It was still going to be a wayyyy better deal than this guy was going to give me locally...i just really want them gone so i can buy some tires for the Aristos. Shipping will be like 150-200$ depending on the total weight and where they are going to. The added insurance isn't that much.

I'm still trying to work out a deal to sell these stupid wheels. Had a decent offer for a guy somewhat local that i want to do, but i dont think he has the cash to fix the one lip/is skeptical or something..idk. Looking less and less likely that he is going to be buying them. Had another offer, but they need to be shipped...not a huge deal i guess...i'd just rather sell them locally with cash instead of paypal.

If you do have to ship the wheels check out Speedy Delivery. They are not a big company but ended up being the cheapest for shipping my wheels to ND. Plus pick-up was free as well. Just a lil FYI I think my (5) Audi RS4 wheels shipped for $100.

Anyone have details on wiring code in Joliet. Rolmex, bx, conduit what's required or allowable. We have no gfci outlets and everthing is 2 prong outlets and we need to upgrade to 3 prong. And upgrade wiring to proper Copernicus coated wire. Garage need a whole new pannel and complete rewire.

Yes but some has to change to just be safe do to being Mister wired like the whole garage. The two prong outlest just are a pain since almost every modern day item we have is 3 prong

if your getting an fha loan ur gonna get hammered. my house had everything re done to a pretty penny before hand so it was all good. gfi's in the kitchen and bathroom and around water have to be so many inches from the sinks etc...

all new construction has to have metal conduit thats what i ran in my basement. its a pain in the ass. not sure on the grandfather rules

i couldn't find any particular codes on joliets website and looking through the city codes pdf's online etc... just general stuff

I called this morning to verify. fha stuff has to be fixed anything else is up to code. to swtich to 3 prong outlets i can make me service loops inthe basement in the conduit and then use rolmex up to the recepticals on the 1st floor. gunna take some planning but shouldnt be horrible but basically i dont have to worry about opening walls to put in conduit. New construction like your basemnt or open exposed walls do want that. since i am working with existing struture i can use this method. made sure it was legal with the building dept of joliet.

Jason looking for some electrical info and since you have just done it i would assume youll probably know. trying to see if you know the max 3 of 12 or 14ga wires you can run in either 1/2 or 3/4" emt also for a 15a circuit how many recepticals can you have i believe its 8-9. i know 20a is more for gfci or dedicated like bathroom or kitchen appliances. been while since ive done electrical and that was in a house wiring class in hs and that was also at cook county code.

another set of BFG KDW2s. I really liked them, so i got them again. Lol. I liked the Hankook RS2s i had, but they wore out in like a summer. I wanted something that was going to last a while and still be pretty sticky, a decent summer tire, that was going to be around 650$ for a set, and last quite some time. Figured it was the best bang for my buck for what i was looking for. Got them for 638$ shipped to my door.

not exactly sure on the numbers, but I did 16 recessed lights on a 20a circuit, 13-15 outlets on a 20a circuit and 5 or 6 more outlets on their own circuit. I did everything way overkill but theres never anything wrong with that if you have the room and means to do it. Couple people told me you can run a **** ton of outlets on a circuit. all you have to pay attention to is what you are plugging in to them. if most of them won't be used then thats fine but like microwaves and tradmills and fridges draw a **** ton of amps so you want to seperate that stuff as much as possible, but like ill have 10 outlets in the basement that will rarely if ever get used.

ya i did some research and got a few books to refresh my knowledge. looks like im good for about 8 per 15amp circuit. basically gotta road map the house out and figure out what can get wired on the same circuits and if i need to add anything additonal while in the process.

home appraisal came back positive got a few grand over the purchase price. they also noted some issues to be fixed to proceed with the loan and the main one being 2 prong to 3 prong outlets....so i may not have to do those repairs on my end after the fact, which is great cuz its $$$ and time i didnt want to get into unless i had no choice. so if all of that gets fixed i think we can get back to just cosmetic repairs to start and then be able to move in sooner if the additional work isnt needed.


Also Steve any ATT news? uve been MIA lately but I know you got a lot of familly stuff right now so I know Its not easy to get free time.

That's probably something I'd spend a few extra bucks on for better quality. Ya know since it lifts/holds tons over your head!

going to try and get the feeler guage and valve cover gasket today. hopefully a local shop has one and i dont have to order online and wait a week for it to arrive. i wanna adjust the valves and resync the carbs again and get this bike to turn over easy and run smooth. if i can get this finished i think i will finally be done with repairs till next year when i decided to put in new brakes and clutch. Ive decicded to call this bike Project Danger Zone since it looks like a mini version of the top gun bike.

What year is your bike? There's a chance DGY or Willy World can get the gasket, maybe even NAPA. I got mine from newmotorcycleparts.com for $17 and it was at my door in a couple days. If we get some decent weather I'd like to paint my bike next week and hopefully be ready to ride.
