well i probably wont ever go to treffen again

lost a car last year and threw a plug on the bug.

lost the caddy this year. had to go home with it on a flatbed ftl

went to start it and didn't give it gas to keep it running so it died and then flooded itself. kept cranking cranking cranking to burn the fuel, wouldn't start

pulled the plugs and the fuse for the fuel pump, cranked it shot all the fuel through, there was a lot. put plugs back in, wouldn't start

pulled plugs, tried to clean em off, they were soaked, burnt the fuel with a lighter on em, tried to scrape em down, still wont start

towed it home. went and got some nice bosch plugs, put em in, crank crank crank crank all day, still won't start.

gonna order a rotor, mine looks worn, and a coil. was getting spark at first then some other guys checked it and it wasn't so i dont know what the **** is going on.

its the 3rd time this truck did this to me.. the previous times i let it sit for 30min to an hour and went back out and cranked the hell out of it and it struggles to start then finally starts up after a sec or two and then its fine.

all the previous times the same thing happens, when i go to start it and don't give it any gas to stay running right away it dies and then it wont start after, it just floods itself

oh and ontop of all that i was the only caddy there and didn't even get a trophy lol

ya i think he was one of 2 guys that came over afterwards and worked on the truck him and the guy with the autobahn race car and the trailer they loaned me a coil to try and an ignition module but that didn't help

so i want to hook up a test light to the coil and try to start it and see if the light comes on

but i don't have a test light LOL

i wanted to get a photoshoot of the truck but they took too long with the other cars at the end lol.

i thought 10 bux was cheap for 30-40 pics and a 5x7 but i don't know what the pics looked like lol

and well the truck wouldn't have started anyway

"What you going for at JJC Mr.b? I'm thinking about going back for my 2nd degree since I only need 3 classes to complete it. My first degree was Instrumentation and if I take 3 more EEAS classes I would get the EEAS degree. "

Criminal justice degree. I don't want it cause I've had the job for almost 9 years now, but the degree equates to a $5K pay increase. One class left

Jason, Glad to hear you got the truck figured out, what a nightmare!

im one class away from a bachelors in criminal justice and i can't get a job. plan to start masters degree in criminal justice in january. just turned 30, i need to land something quick. when i do tho ill be able to start a little higher with the degrees like you said.

also ill get a 5% raise where im at now. just after i got a 13% raise for being promoted to supervisor, just after i got a 27% raise for having my pay scale adjusted to the industry. lol and i still don't make that much

uploading 184 treffen pictures now, they turned out better than i thought.

ya and i felt like i didn't take hardly any pictures at all. its about half to a third of how many i would normally take. they kept looking totally washed out in the camera because of the overcast so i wasn't happy with the way they were turning out so i didn't take a lot.

plus my battery died halfway through the day.

nice set. looks like you took every other picture that I didn't lol.

I almost want to say that black e30 M Technic BMW convertible was my favorite car at the whole show.

so i want to redo some wiring to the coil in the caddy, but to do that im gonna have to take off the strut bar and the intake to get to the wires

ordering a new coil today or tomorrow from GAP. thank god i can walk to work and have nowhere to go

I think Treffen had a much better showing this year. Location was way better and based on the pics i missed some cars. i left around 1. There were some local people missing that i thought would have been there.

I'm confused; why BMWs and Mclaren at Treffen? Isnt it supposed to be a VW/ VAG show, or has it morphed into just a car show?

they have "club parking" in the back of the show..it's open to "all euros"...The lambos and Mclaren all showed up at the same time and were like in the middle between the show/club parking..i have no idea why they are there...but technically, doesn't VW own the majority share in lamborghini?

VW does own Lambo, so as odd as it may be, I understood them being at a VW show. I was just confused by the BMTroubleyous.

bmtroublyous haha. yea i understood the lambos vw does own em now, and even tho im not a fan of the new mclaren mp401-301948512c i enjoyed seeing one in person for the first time.

and honestly my favorite car out of the entire show was that black M Technic convertible e30 on BBS wheels. The white one on Borbert Type A's next to it was pretty sweet too.

That whole group pretty much stayed to themselves. I went over with a few people to check out the cars and none of em wanted to talk or even look like they wanted to be approached so i was like whatever and walked away.

My friend who drove with us who had the AMG Benz which was probably the other sweetest car out there. I tried to tell him they wont let him in but he wouldn't listen, so he had to park in the spectator parking lot with no problems.

he got his 15minutes of fame after the show when he pulled around and up by my truck as we tired to start it for an hour, a big crowd of guys came up to drool and talk to him about the car

I looked in both parking lots at one point in time during the day on both sides of the show, and i was surprised at all the badass cars i saw. IF i go next year im gonna pay more attention to those lots LOL.

Okay, details on the SEC...380, 500, or 560? The Mrs and I talked about it and the '88 jetta 2 door as well as the '89 GLI are gonna hit the road by the end of the summer. They will eventually be replaced by something off my automotive "bucket list". First choice: 560SEC, so spill the info on that car!

damn. good luck steve. Hope the Army treats you well. I sent you a text the other day asking if you still had those control arms as i believe i'm going to need some real soon. lol. I'm getting a very subtle (at the moment at least) clunk once in a while from my front end. I dont think it has anything to do with the strut.

Also, who's got the lowered mk5 Jetta, white, with a "BORA" badge on the back of it? I spotted it around the mall last night (at the light to get out to Essington actually) at about 8:40 i want to say?..
