You're going to spend 18k on a special edition car but use it as a DD? Seems like that car is meant to be a garage/show queen. If you buy it, it should be treated as such, IMO of course.

Also, I have a client that is a Jag tech...if you think you hate working on your Audi...you might be in for a shock with the Jag. Nice car though, I just would but a lot else for 18k

IMO no car should be a garage queen. Cars were meant to drive and thats exactly what i would use it for. I'm not really hung up on this special edition xjr. I may pick up a regular xjr for 10k or less. From what i have read on jag boards these are reliable cars and are not that bad as people say.

I'm also looking at 03 540i, 04-05 a8. I want something bigger with some power. MPG is not a factor at the moment, because my work pays for all my gasoline lol.

Insurance is another factor. About a year ago, i remember reading an article where it stated that XJR is the least pulled over car in America. Under my name the insurance is 1800/year for full coverage. If i insure it under my company, it is only 622/year for full coverage

What would you guys buy instead? Sti's, evo's, m3s are out of the question due to the insurance costs.

Ok so i have finally decided on a car i will get. - 2010 Volkswagen CC. Test drove one yesterday and fell in love. Interior is just piece of art.

01 audi a4 1.8tqm 148k
Giac Chip
Test Pipe
H&R coils (rears are blown, i think)
A month ago i installed new timing belt kit, water pump etc....
CEL is on from test pipe and i skipped one tooth on the timing so that needs to be corrected.
Air bag light is on, have no idea from what.
ABS/Traction control light is on, needs new front drivers side ABS sensor
Oil pan needs to be replaced, will include a brand new one.
Driver's seat has a rip in it.


Will include bunch of new and used parts that i have laying around.

Located in Orland Park, IL.

It will have to be towed since it doesnt have any oil at the moment. Or the whole in the oil pan can be easily plugged up with a rubber plug and be driven home.

Wheels will not come with the car.

No the guy that said was gonna buy it neever showed up. Another older person looked it at but he missed the part in the ad where it said that the pan needs to be replaced and the car doesn't run lol.

love the dsg trans and interior. i really wanted the white one, but black will do it
