      01-09-04 - MIL ON, DTCs P1545, P0121, P0123, P0221 or P0222 Stored in ECM Fault Memory
      Release date: Feb 18, 2009

      Condition:
      MIL ON, DTCs P1545, P0121, P0123, P0221 or P0222 Stored in ECM Fault Memory
      Malfunction indicator lamp in instrument cluster is illuminated.
      A number of incident memory entries with regard to the throttle valve are stored in the ECM. In most cases, the entries are sporadic.


      DTC Description:
      P1545 Throttle valve control system malfunction
      P0121 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch “A” Circuit Range/Performance
      P0123 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch “A” Circuit High
      P0221 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch “B” Circuit Range/Performance
      P0222 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch “B” Circuit Low

      Technical Background:
      Contact resistance in the ECM wiring – throttle valve.

      Production Solution:
      Optimized wiring and contacts.
      (IE, take it to the dealership)

      87-09-01 - DTC 00819 Stored in AC Control Module, Engine Cooling Fan ON Continually
      Release date: Apr 1, 2009

      Condition:
      DTC 00819 Stored in AC Control Module, Engine Cooling Fan ON Continually
      At temperatures below - 5°C (23° F) the following DTC may be stored in the AC control module along with the cooling fan operating continually.


      DTC Description:
      00819 High pressure sender **-G65- disruption/short circuit, sporadic

      Technical Background:
      Tolerances of high pressure sender -G65-.

      Production Solution:
      Final production countermeasures pending.

      Note:
      Replace no parts for this condition.
      The condition as described has been identified, and is currently under investigation. The condition has no effect on the function of the air conditioning, and if DTC 00891 has been recorded in the AC control module at temperatures below - 5°C (23° F) it may be ignored.

      DTC will set with or without MIL ON

      DTC Description:
      P2015 (2968) Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance Sporadic

      Technical Background:
      • Intake manifold tumble flaps sporadically stick.
      • Engine performance is not affected.

      Production Solution:
      Production countermeasure implemented.

      I Once had an Issue where If the - Bolts that Held the Component Contact
      In Place Were Loosened , One could Actually - Change the resistance in the ECM wiring – throttle valve - Reading - By A Slight Movement and a Re-tightening. Hence there Should be a High and Low - Reading.

      It Would be Great If We could Get those Spec's ?

      We Uses Two Thin Bare Copper Leads and Measured the Resistance .

      Some Times , there is a Certain Threshold - say 1 Volt or 100 Ohms

      Once the Reading Goes Over the Threshold the ECU , Starts Tracking It
      Which Uses Up ECU - Buss Traffic or CPU Power sort of Speak .

      To Much ECU Buss Traffic and Poor Performance - will Accure .

      Hence If a Data Logger is Being Used to Load Data from say 8 Different
      Area's , and You Request Info every 1/25 of a Sec. on all 8 Items , You Will See or Feel the Difference in the Motor . Then back Down to tenth of a Sec. on all 8 Readings and It will Go away . Better to go 1/4 on say H2O -Temp & 1/4 sec. on Say Oil Pressure - as that's Fast enough Reads for those Items.
