I have the Forge DV and BOV spacer on my car. Really enjoy it. The boost tap that comes with the kit also is very nice

If you are looking for the sound of a high performance DV then by all means buy the Forge unit. However the new DVs on the TSI motor should be able to hold up just fine (but only time will tell if this is true or not). Not trying to knock the Forge product as it is a great product and can definitely withstand anything you throw at it with our cars, just trying to help out a confused TSI owner.

yeah i want it for the sound and because i wanna chip my car

You don't have to buy a new DV to chip your car.
I have been running an APR chip for over 7k miles now without problems![]()
The sound from a Forge DV is sweet tho, I can't wait till the DV relocation kits are released for the TSI!

The new DV in the TSI motors is pretty good from all the hype surrounding it. To date, very few failures have been reported. Only time will tell if it ends up curing all the issues 2.0T FSI owners had with their DVs.
If you want to upgrade the DV for ensured reliability in the future, I'd recommend our 2.0T Mechanical DV Kit.
It's maintenence free, has been proven to power levels of over 750+ hp and very easy to install. It won't change how your car sounds, but you'll be able to apply the money saved on our unit towards something that makes your car perform and sound better.

once you chip your car you can hear the DV much more and louder
#11
an intake as well will definitely improve your DV "loudness"

On top of being chipped and an intake a DV relocation will be SWEET (hint hint Phil)![]()
I can't remember if people reported that the new DV fits on the current FSI DV relocation or not though...

that plastic piece that secures the tap to the intake manifold.... looks like the plastic piece used to secure the water temp sensor on my old MKIV
