Hahahah you two are a ****ing riot!!!

Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with my pick-ups at Permanent Records... even though I forgot they opened at 12am-2am Friday night (saturday morning really) so they didn't have a lot of the stuff I wanted in stock.

The White Wires - Pretty Girl 7"

    Personal & the Pizzas - I Want You 7"

TIM - 4 way split 7" with Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Mean Jeans, Jack Oblivion and The Wrong Words

Doctor John - Dr. John's Gumbo

    The Intelligence - Males

Genuine Electric Latin Love Machine (mind blowing 70's moog madness!)

Kurt Vile - Childish Prodigy (I know, so ****ing HIP right!?!)

    Tyvek - Blunt Instrumental EP

Hunx & His Punx - Too young to be in love

    The Wrong Words - S/T

Is that supposed to be a dig at my taste or do you really want me to pick apart yours?

    No man, long story.

Where is permanent records located? I'll be doing an Ikea run soon because we just moved and need some random crap.

    1914 W. Chicago Ave.

The guys who own the place are really nice and they're opening another store in LA this summer.

I have a deluxe copy of Junta waiting for me, can't wait. I'll report back with whatever else I grab. Tomorrow will be a busy day, I am also spinning in store and then I am headed down a few blocks to see Dieselboy.

    SWEET!!!

patrikman, I try to go to one or two spots, since I have limited time usually, but you seem to get a good amount of noteworthy releases on this day. Have fun spinning too!!! Never saw Dieselboy in person.

Slim pickings here north of the border.. At least at my local store.
    Picked up:
    - velvet underground loaded (pink vinyl)
    - grateful dead dark star
    - black keys elcamino 12" + 7"

Really wanted the white stripes but none showed up. If anyone gets an extra and wants to ship, let me know

Yanks man, had lots of fun even though I freestyled it. I had planned a beginning and a few records after that left it it wide open. I am now sitting at a bar listening to some kid sound clumsy even with Serato.

Congrats on the Dark Star! I could have grabbed I but ainhaf already met my budget. Which White Stripes are you looking for? The store I was spinning at had a few 45s. I was bull****tin with the store manager after my set, and he told me they sold the most Jack White records of all the stores after Milwaukee and Madison.

I'll post up some pics tomorrow, total damage: about $130, with the Phish album consisting of exactly half of that.

White stripes - "handspring/ red death at 6:14" is the 45 I'm after. It's red/black vinyl. If you can snag me one that would be awesome!

There were a bunch of these at Bull City Records in Durham around midday yesterday. I snagged one along with a live Muddy Waters LP.

Got the Raw Power double LP and a bunch of other goodies making the rounds of the Triangle record stores yesterday.
