    Thanks for all the complements!

I finally got around to doing my kitchen floor. We took the easy way and used a floating floor. It looks 10x better then my old flooring. I just have to see how long it lasts, It was only $250 so if anything i can do tiles later on down the road....

Next up for the kitchen is re-painting the cabinets and maybe re-tile the back splash.

Just for reference this is our old floor...

I also cleaned up the patio, stacked a few more bricks and hung some lights. When i get a few extra bucks the granite tops are coming for the out door kitchen.... If my stupid VW didn't break all the time I would have money...

I had the week off so I decided to build a rock/zen Garden. I wish my grass was greener but oh well lol! I still have to paint the new part of the fence and the trim around the garden.

I would't paint the cabinets too dark because you already have a dark counter top, floor and blinds...
Got inspired by all of your great work...I will do somethings to my place this weekend...nothing too elaborate, just some painting and furniture moving.

    Thanks guys!

I got around to building the cabinet next to the fridge. I still need to paint them though. I'm going to get the white acrynamel paint and do all the cabinets at once. I also installed three under cabinet lights, I think they look pretty cool.

Well I took down the tiles i put up in my kitchen, only took 6 hours to do it....

I found a tile place going out of business on craigslist and bought those tiles for 3 bucks a tile. I also bought my slate tiles to do my fire place. My buddy in the pics did tiling for his old job, I learned a lot working with him today. I still need to paint my cabinets LOL.

Those tiles look really good. Are they more difficult to clean vs a smooth surfaced tile like glass or ceramic?

Thanks a lot! They are a little harder to clean since there are so many little angles and crevices but its not to bad.

Thanks guys! Haven't done a whole lot the past few months. I've been dealing with some back and neck injuries from a car accident. I might start on the slate tile fire place project here soon. I also plan on epoxying my garage floor when it warms up. Ill keep you guys updated

HAHA I haven't got around to painting the cabinets yet. I'm taking a week off the last week of august so I think I'm going to try to reface them. I also plan on adding molding in the living room.

This weekend my buddy is coming over and were going to finish grouting the kitchen and tile the base of our fire place. I'll post some pictures this weekend.

Any plans on finishing the garage? I noticed that you ordered some sample from floorjunkies.com did you like it? It seems they have some neat stuff.

The tiles were already level, the only thing we had to do was smash the fronts of the brick that were sticking out.

I haven't done much work in the garage in awhile. I'll prob do some work when it gets warmer. I liked the tiles from floor junkies but I'll prob just epoxy the floors.
