This is back? Time to go swallow some spiders!

Nahhhhhh, just kidding... Some people believe we swallow spiders while we sleep...

Not scared of them, but here's something for the woosies checking in:

Spiders don't really bother me much, but will scare me if I happen upon one when I don't expect it. I used to work for the Michigan DNR, and outside one of our park ticket booths, a spider took up residence in one of the upper outside corners. I would feed him each day with various insects I would find by whipping them up into his/her web.

It isn't bad...guy tries to pin the spider and misses, and it falls, a girl screams and he runs. No one gets attacked.

I had one of those in my (old) house awhile back. The cat will usually discover spiders and bugs under the couch or behind the dresser and start making a bunch of racket so we will always go investigate. I'd seen the video above so I used the "catch it in a Mason jar then slide a piece of paper underneath" method and set it free out in the yard.

I saw one of those on my kitchen floor last year and stomped it. Babies were running everywhere. I killed every last one while yelling profanities, and then had to wash the floor and my slipper. Screw those things! The strange weather seems to have produced more of them this year, and I've found a bunch in the house. One in my bedroom while I was going to bed at 4AM, which I fought with the handle of a vacuum, and eventually killed. Bastard kept hopping around. They're tough to kill. The last one I hit 4 times with a mop before he died. I don't mind the non-poisonous snakes, rodents, or just about any insect, but I just can't stand any big spider like that.

I never knew that so many grown men had a phobia of spiders. I worked with a guy that had it so bad that even a picture of a spider freaked him out. I feel bad putting all those plastic halloween spiders in his locker.

I am not afraid of spiders, I am afraid of being maimed, killed, or sitting in the ICU because of a tiny bug though. if that makes me a wuss then call me Sally.

Given your screen name, shouldn't we call you Patty?
For me, its ticks. Damn tiny little bloodsuckers you can't even feel bite. Dear God:WTF?
Saw a video once showing worst jobs ever-one was "Tickdragger":you walk through the woods dragging a sheet to collect ticks.

I would rather face an intruder in my living room and engage in hand to hand combat than have that spider in the same room.

This guy fell on me last week while I was pulling a box down from a shelf in the garage. Threw him in a cup of dried clearcoat, and got him high as a kite. Then he died.
