    OPP or Halton?

I rarely see cops in Oakville, thus explains my rapid tire wear on the fun roads of Oakville.

    it's not 'new'

RCMP in the lower mainland (aka Vancouver) use seized vehicles (4x4s fully kitted out with roll/light bars were the norm) and so were minivans with the magnetic "N" badge on the back for "New driver". You just learn to look for 'em...

Good point. The Montana I saw was black, a color that Pontiac didn't produce as a factory option.

Out around the airport (Pearson) they have all kinds of different unmarked cars. Probably for the different services around it (RCMP, Peel, MTO, etc..).

I saw a decked out Escalade chase a car down at Dixie & Derry, followed by an ETF SUV.

The 407 also has MANY unmarked OPP cars cruising it; gold Suburban pulled over a 911....

  18. 05-01-2009 08:29 AM #18
saw a red montana a few years ago down pharmacy at eglinton pulling over somebody. nothing new...

407 has TONS of OPP on it. there's so much open road, so it's way too easy to speed. it's probably the best highway to make money on for them.

No, it's because you speed. Don't deflect blame.

that's hilarious, the same thing happend to me on heart lake road coming back from a buddys cottage, in my cabby doing 130 when an 80 dropped to 60, over the crest of a hill and whamm, unmarked on the shoulder. he then informed me that my license was expired . my car got towed and i took a $120 cab ride back to tdot. when i took it to a lawyer he took one look at the ticked and said "crap, you got booked by robocop". ended up costing me $900 for lawyers, $700 for tickets and a 30 day susp. (worth more than the car) lol

that was 3 yrs ago and i've only got 1 20 over since....

btw...i saw about 30 unmarked blue montanas at some sort of training excerise downtown...keep your eye's peeled...

Honestly, I like my fast car but I'm not an idiot when I drive in traffic.

I think there should be more cops out there in unmarked vehicles. There are way too many people who speed and weave through traffic because they think their time is more important than anybody else's.

I can't begin to count the number of times I wished I was a cop so that I could have pulled somebody over who deserved to be ticketed.

Exactly. Drive at a normal speed and not like a dick and you have nothing to worry about.

This happend to a friend of mine..late at night on a country road out in the middle of nowhere he gets caught doing 130 in a 80. Long story short his latest insurence quote was $13, 000/yr.
