Still if the insurance pays out on Australian prices, you'll make three times what you paid in the U.K. for them

Long story but.. No insurance claimable (original shipping Co. went bust/paid twice/yada yada), Speakers were bought in Aust.
Have been in contact with B&W in the UK who have all the parts I need except one (midrange and tweeter baffle pn#MM01511)
anybody know anybody who services or supplies parts for B&W speakers in Aust. on the off chance they have said ^part^
I didn't have the original packing, they we're however professionally wrapped in about ten layers of HD bubble wrap stuff.. of which I now have hundreds of lineal metres

spotted: me driving a Holden Epica rentacar for the next couple of weeks. Also spotted, me throwing up a little in my mouth driving possibly the worst car in the world.

AM certain the epica is a Toyota Camry .. i rented one the other fortnight... not bad for a rental. very comfortable. not sexy, but then, neither is a VW Gti.

      http://www.carsales.com.au/pls...d=186
not a JCW, and about 5-7k overpriced (at least)

    14. 05-27-2009 12:37 AM #314
speaking of massive fail, i thought i'd check out the BMW website to check out a few options andso forth on a car and do the due dilligence before engaging in conversation with a deadhead salesman and i got this bullsh*t..

All customer inquiries are important to us. However, as a result of new component pricing laws which came into force on 25 May 2009, BMW Group Australia has removed all vehicle pricing from this website. For all pricing inquiries please contact your nearest BMW dealer, which can be located by clicking on the link below.

      obviously relating to this..

so what they cant put the prices of any car or options on a website anymore because they arent stating the full price of the car with taxes and dealer deliver etc?
      what a load of sh*t.

This was given to you by the same man who now makes me pay for using ATMs other than my bank's own.

I've got no idea how the ACCC expected that new pricing law to work, especially for cars where the final price is dependent on Stamp Duty (which isn't a straight percentage in Victoria), LCT (which varies if the car is 'economical'), and so on. really well thought out. not.

It was pretty funny yesterday at BMW Rushcutters strolling around with the old man who wanted to see the new Z4 (He being early adopter of previous Z4 that must be about 6 years old now...) Seeing the price of all the cars suddenly going up as they were re-pricing everything on the lot. Also funny seeing 20 sales staff and about one real customer, tuesdays must be a slow day.
