Thread: LEGO Picture Thread

Hybrid View

How about a thread to post photos of your latest creations, acquisitions, MOCs, vignettes, etc.?

I picked up Darth Vader's Fighter and the Beach House on sale at Toys'R'Us a couple of weeks ago. It didn't come with a chrome Darth.

Father dropped in for tea with the son.

I have a project I'm working on that won't be finished for a while.

So here's something I built about a month ago.

Part of the fan community project for http://www.neoclassicspace.com/

dr Spock, you should put a (56k warning) to the title, once i get in the groove with pix, i probably wont stop! lol

    well here I go!

the LEGO Castle Market Village set:
Absolutely the best value for money with all the parts you get in the set!!!!!

the LEGO Castle Market Village set:the accessories

the LEGO Castle Market Village set:the inside of the blue house

the LEGO Castle Market Village set:the blecksmith shop.

my small repair garage, built last week, took about two hours to build.

    my repair garage inside:

the new LEGO Emerald night set

    LEGO Emerald night set

the Emerald night is not such a good set if you are looking to run it on a track, it runs awful, but as a display pice, its fantastic!

And now some of my vehicles I built:

4 wide tuner ( headlights glow in the dark as well as under glow.)

stereo system of my 4 wide tuner

    School bus in 6 wide

    back of the school bus

a LEGO tractor with Mower tow along.

a few police vehicles, on the left a Fiat 126p and the right a police van

    Mercedes truck in 6 wide

Under side detail (spare tire, parking stand)

Back of the truck and trailer

    Minifig scale BMW M3

these cars are Fiat 126p (Polski Fiat)

here are my Abarth racing versions of the Fiat 126p

another pic of the Abarth Fiat 126p

this is a fun challenge, buy a little set with one bag, and build the set while it is still in the bag!!! its alot harder than it looks.

    Well, I'm done for now.

You guys have some nice creations.

Recycled the recycle truck into a 4 stud wide truck.

I think I like it better with 6 wheels.

the "Racers" series are mostly one bag sets.

I think the Coast Guard off-road bike came in one bag. Personally I think more bags = more fun.

I haven't done much Lego construction lately.

I haven't been to a show before. What are the proper questions to ask?

Time for another LEGO picture. My latest Lego creation is a crawler drill. It is used to drill blast holes for underground or above ground mining. I think it took 1/2 hour or so to build.

My latest Lego mod. I have added an additional power function M-motor and switch to my 8294 excavator and removed the clutch mechanism. Now each of the 2 linear actuators can be independently controlled.

Nothing overly exciting, this just arrived from the UK while we were on vacation:

I'm happy with it, probably going to be put away until someone's birthday or Christmas present though.

LOL, that's awesome... I wish I had the buckets and buckets of Lego bricks from my childhood. I have my daughter into it, but everything we have thus far is from kits and built that way. I guess I need to find someone with a big old bucket trying to give it away...

I wish I had more pics, but I was having too much fun, but you can see alot more rom the event on Flickr

    My Brickworld display section:

It is a techno concert based in a soccer stadium, the stadium lights up fully, the stage lights up, there are built in speakers and a sub, hooks up to an ipod.

the other part of my display, every building lights up with LED! as well as the camp fire, it uses the LED and circuit board out of a flameless candle!

I'll have pics of the stadium lit up once I unpack it and set it back up at home.

That's amazing. How long did it take you to build?

This is the #1 question that you get at a Lego display.

"How long did it take to build this?"

"Where do you get all your legos?"

    "Are these kits?"

    "Do you work for Lego?"

"You sure have a lot of time on your hands"

I get that all the time, especially at the Library shows I do where the visitors are not really big LEGO fans.

well, this is how I answer most of these:

"How long did it take to build this?"
    - I really dont want to know.
"Where do you get all your legos?"
    -bricklink, ebay, stores, LEGO store.
    "Are these kits?"
    -No
    "Do you work for Lego?"
    - I wish.
"You sure have a lot of time on your hands"
-Not really, I only when I have free time.

and then you get these questions:

"how do you transport it all?"
    -Modular sections

    "Is it glued?"
    -No, glue is Blasphemy

    "how many pieces is it?"
    - I dont know, I'm not going to sit there and count every damn piece I put in a MOC

    "can I buy it?"
    No.

I've had kids come up to me and ask if they can buy the stadium or other very large things I had built.

    here is the conversation:

kid: "hey, I really really like your stadium."
    me: " oh, thanks"
kid: "do you want to sell it?"
me: "well, what is your offer?"
    kid: "50$"
me: "sorry, unless you had 1000 dollars in your pocket, then we might make a deal, but 50$, no."
    kid: "1000$!?!?!!? really?"
me: "yes, figure the cost of all the figures, custom made lights, bricks, special parts, German exclusive soccer field bricks, shipping for parts, speakers, etc."
Kid: "oh, ok, what about that building?
    me: "300$"
    kid: *walks away*

I get that at least 4 or 5 times a show.
