Is it bad I knew this was topgear before seeing the Stig or any of the cars. Its James May's horrible taste in sweaters and Richard Hamonds leather jacket over an open dress shirt that were the first to come to my eye

    I had that truck too.

Does anyone recall the old (20 years ago) town Bike shop? It was yellow. It was one of my first "town" sets.

Also, to you super Lego people. Is there away to get the old build scheets? I would love to rebuild that bike shop.

I grew up on Legos from the early 80's. I saved most of them which is well over two large garbage bags full. This thread has inspired me to get them out and start building again....at the age of 34. I have a 4 month old boy who will eventually inherit my blocks.

Finally got some pics up of what I still have out on display in my office.

Got this one when it was just released back in the day, and found it in my parents attic about a year ago.

Bought this one about 5 years ago off Bricklink when I stumbled upon it. I think I got it for like $150 new in box from Germany. The stickers got mucked up sitting at work. I sourced a new sheet of stickers that I need to put on.

Got this one about a year ago off Bricklink as well. Been wanting it for a few years now. Mainly to see if I can't understand transmissions a lil bit more. Fun build and the 5 speed with reverse is pretty neat.

Lastly, stumbled upon a thread in TCL probably a year and a half ago that showed a youtube link of this build. I was instantly sold on the idea. After some research and about $300 of lego expense on Brick Link I finally was able to source all the necessary parts, and do so in a some what consistent color scheme. Kinda went for the Ferrari theme. I have the Lego CAD of this build if anyone is interested.

I've got a ton of stuff still in my parents attic. About once a year I get a big urge to buy a new set. I've been starting to have the urge to buy the Technic Space Shuttle off Bricklink. We'll see how that transpires

There are some amazing builds in this thread. Can't wait for my son to be born in March, he will have EVERY Lego I can get my hands on so he can be just like I was!

My son got me hooked on Lego and likes attacking my peaceful Lego town with his weapon laden creations. I finished building a power function rocket launcher. It fires pretty quickly. Time for a Lego battle against my son.

got inspired...dug out my 20+ year old Lego and built like 6 things yesterday! and realized how much more crazy, technical pieces Lego has come out with over the years

Latest MOC for my 4 stud wide Lego Town. I missed the opportunity to get set 6682 Cement Mixer back in 1985. So this will have to do.

Ooooohhhhhh nooooooo... between this thread and helping my friend move his entire lego setup into his basement (he's 50 btw, and has an entire "colony" that takes up a whole room...) I'm going to get absolutely no work done on my jetta... the good news is I'll probably be posting some pics soon though.

Well, I have gotten back into building!

    here is my latest project:

I bring to you my latest MOC for my latest project I will be building.

It is a Japanese restaurant like those you would see in Japan.

My project I will be building is a large city block of Japanese style buildings.

Here is the first of many buildings that I will build: ON WITH THE PICS!

    The Front:

    A pic of the roof:

Close up of the detail of the roof: (yes, it is all made up of 1x1 bricks!)

    The front entrance:

    Going in!

The Module sections all opened up:

A basic interior, the cooks are busy frying fish and cutting up fish:

    Chefs busy cutting:

The LED setup: (string of ten LED lights powered by 2AA Batteries)

Hard to see, but this shows a bit of the lights inside:
