does lego have a site where you can create your own mini figs or is that just for sets?

a couple of friends bought this for me for my birthday....



and i didnt like how it looked stock... so i modified it a little bit. i think it's alot nicer as a 'vert i raided my boys parts bins to get some different wheels and tires for it, as well as some other parts and pieces.

Where do you guys find some of these lego sets? I know some are custom but it seems like some of the sets are not on lego's website. Im interested in getting in to the hobbie.

Well it depends on what you are looking for.

Most of what is posted in this thread are MOCs (My Own Creations). when it come to sets, some are already discontinued sets and are bought secondary market, or like the shuttle posted above brand new just released.

Would love to get some of the mini figs but have not found them locally anywhere yet.

Not sure if people need a place to order some but in my other toy travels this site is good!

The Lego store here was open last night so I got to check it out, had some nice kits, not the biggest store but still nice to have one locally! No mini figures though

What? I thought the grand opening was July 16th! Where in the mall is it located?

I guess the grand opening celebrations are this weekend but it has already opened. It is on the upper level just north of the Food Court, it is next door to the also just opened Volcom store, also the first in Canada. Think I will be going by tonight again, so I will see what the Grand Opening has to offer.

I built this last sat/sun. My dad, the quirky fellow he is gave it to my daughter for her 3rd birthday



It's a pretty neat set, I would have loved this as a kid.

I put my general box of lego away so that these parts would not get mixed up with them. when I get home from work I have to fix some parts that my daughter has taken off or moved during the day

Give it shot. It is fun. Keeps the mind and fingers limber. Some of the smaller pieces may be a bit challenging for in-the-bag-builds.
