Did you get the pieces from Space Skulls when Lego.com was selling them off at like 50% or more off? I ordered the Boeing Dreamliner.

nah, that was an Ugly set... I just brickiinked them for a penny a piece, I spent like two dollars total, the rest were parts I already had.

For fun I tried a "in the bag" build. Unfortunately this set came with two pieces outside of the plastic bag. I haven't figured out how to get them into the bag without opening the bag. Ideas?

    3. 08-02-2009 02:19 PM #53
just tightly press the piece onto the outside of the bag, lol.

Saw an old 1950s video on differentials so I decided to build one as an experiment.

Very cool! The designer of the set is Adam Reed Tucker, Nice guy, he's kinda local to me and I see him sometimes at the Northbrook LEGO store, and he is the Creator of Brickworld!

also, i should note the cool book that has information and the directions for the set was all gaffed up in mine. at page 86 the next page was 101 until the model was finished, then it went back to page 99. i had to print the pdf directions for those missing pages.

There are a few Europe-only sets here and there, but I'm not aware of any off the top of my head right now.
However, you may be able to buy sets that aren't yet available in the US, as well as certain items that are specific to that Legoland park. They also have a pick-a-brick wall with loads of colors of bricks.

Ask a manager what they have in the back, see if they can order parts you want. the local LEGO store to me, I know the manager well, he always shows me the order sheet on what is available for order for Pick a Brick, and he orders it!

Is it bad I knew this was topgear before seeing the Stig or any of the cars. Its James May's horrible taste in sweaters and Richard Hamonds leather jacket over an open dress shirt that were the first to come to my eye
