I brought my 91 home today behind a tow strap. Hehe. Maybe I can make it run now.

Well, it hasn't ran since we pulled the running digi 1.8 with blown headgasket out last summer. Has an aba in it now that I have never been able to get started. Just cranks and cranks....

measured the front rotors and luckily they were still within minimum spec so i scuffed them up and installed new HP+ pads. Also swapped the dog bone engine mount for a VF one with Delrin inserts. Then took the TypeIV motor out of the cargo bay of the bus and put it on the engine test stand. It turned over easy enough so i may spring for some HPMX carbs, to see if it runs any good.

6k still has a little yellow tint in them which I don't want. Also I'm getting a great deal on the 10k.

on the brown jetta coupe, put all new shift bushings into the shift linkage in the engine bay, wow what a difference the factory alignment tool makes! also put in the hood prop rod clip thing, and found a corroded ground wire to the head. I will replace that tomorrow. New antenna going in this weekend.

Went to Layton and picked the Jetta up with a new 2" down pipe and a high flow catalytic converter installed, had an argument with German Auto Parts about a broken radiator fan, set up an appointment with Integrated Engineering for a Uni flash and ogled the 268 cams that will be going in this weekend and got my new tags because Ryan is the man and got it to pass without that radiator fan that kept letting it overheat before the test finished. Big huge mondo thanks to Ryan for all your help! You do phenomenal work and will be very sorely missed. Good luck in Oregon!

That's my old GT I sold to Alex. I am excited to see it as a VR, I rescued it from a guy who was going to take it to the metal recycler.

Indeed it is good sir. How long has it been since this thing ran or was on the road? Hoping I can clean it up good enough to be presentable.

It's going to be a pretty nice car because I don't do things half assed. Tonight I got about 1/3 of the brake lines sorted.

What did you do with the brake lines? running new ones to work with rear discs or the 5bolt VR stuff? I hope the half-assed comment wasn't directed at me.
