Alright.. more cleaning up little bits. Replaced exhaust manifold gaskets, 6 new studs, and 8 copper crush nuts. No more ticking sound. Found the proper battery hold down instead of a bunjee cord, removed the hot wired manual switch for the radiator fan, and wired it in correctly so it'll turn on and off via temp switch now, pulled the wiring for the fog lights (bumber with fogs will we changed out tomorrow). Already a little less cluttered!

So I was driving home, pulled in the driveway, heard some noise from under the hood... popped the hood and the water is boiling.. look for culprit.. fan is plugged in.. everything looks good.. oh wait.. no serpentine belt upon further inspection I find that the alternator bracket is not secure.. bolts are missing, broken, incorrect, etc.. got the correct bolts. While I had the water pump out of the way, I cleaned out behind and under the radiator, routed some wires, degreased the front of the block, and cleaned up a couple other small things.. Thanks Jake for the correct water pump bolts!

    All clean!

Wires neatly ziptied safely out of harms way

    New bolts

Pump installed, front of block degreased

Went to the junkyard, got some parts for the Jetta: Tail lights, cabin air filter, headlights, central locking air pump, a door light switch, and an airbag for the leather steering wheel. Plus i ordered all new rear brake stuff, i need to rebuild the rear drums really bad. I also ordered something, but i cant tell y'all yet. Youll see it at slutfest.

Well depending on the color of the vehicle and I assume this is the MK3 your speaking about... VW didnt start using 2 stage paint till 99 There were some colors that were 2 stage.. I believe windsor blue and some of the other MK3 metallic colors were. However T red, black were single stage paint so your grey areas will never be shiny again unless you respray.

Perused online parts for the MKIII. I really need to upgrade the suspension or at least new parts. Defiantly needs new motor mounts and control arm bushings.

First I need this damn thing lower to the ground.
