This list includes what I did today, so it counts right? since losing my job thats left me with a lot of time to work on my caddy so the list goes something like this. Im sure im forgetting a few things but:

    -Rebuilt injection pump (thanks Dan!)
    -new timing belt and tensioner
-new water pump and thermostat installed (painted)
-alternator painted to match water pump
-new accessory belt and pulleys painted
    -new starter
    -new battery
-hitting all the rust with rust converter
-rebuilt tailgate hinge and added non rattle buffers
-pulled seats, cleaned carpet, installed new sliders on cleaned seats
-rebuilt shift linkage, and added a spherical bearing to the base of the lever (currently getting it to work correctly. Discovered it was a 5 speed swap, and thus requires 5 speed specific parts, which has been a learning experience as to which ones those are besides the obvious)
-new door handles and striker pins
-new rear and front motor mounts (in process. painting the mounts a color besides rust)
-new output shaft seals on trans (repacked bearings and cleaned up all the mess from the leaky seals)
-painted the grill, headlight bezels and lower front grills
-attempted to straighten the front valence (its straighter then it was but dont have the tools to do the rest)
    -aligned the hood
    -fixed the slider glass latch
-pressure washed the bay, cleaned all the brackets and bay components, and waxed and detailed all painted surfaces in the bay i could reach
    -cleaned the wiring
-painted the fuel lines and dipstick
-pulled the radiator out, cleaned and painted it, cleaned up the shroud, fan and fan motor
-cleaned airbox, intake manifold, and put in new filter

ANNNNND thanks to Mat, it now idles great and runs fantastic.

    yet to do still is:
-clean up and install front sway bar and new control arms and install lower tie bar
-new rotors, pads and lines up front with the calipers getting addressed aethsetically
-new drums, shoes, lines, wheel cylinders and hardware
    -new master cylinder
    -mount mirrors
    -possibly install poly rack bushings
-get shift linkage working as smoothly as possible
-install windage tray w\ oil change
    -find some decent tires
    -drive it!

at this point it should be safe and legal, once I find a new job, it will be getting lowered
lots of 10 hour days wound up in this truck. lots of time waiting for paint to dry or parts to come in. At some point I hope to get it repainted to the original factory color and then add some sportruck decals but thats not necessary at this point. The light at the end of the tunnel is slowly getting bigger

I wanted to get my cabby lower, but i didn't have a fender roller so i decided to just grind off the fender lip and remove the inner fender wells in the front and rears just took the lip down.

this is what the final product turned out looking like

then i realized my wheels were looking ruff, i guess that's what happens when you give them a little spray paint love.

so ive always had a itch to have gold/bronze snowflakes so i just shot them with some spray paint figured it was cheap and easy and if i liked it i could always get them poweder coated.

and now this is how it looks. i have mixed emotions but will see what i decide to do

So a while back someone stole the original interior out of my cabby and i have no idea why. so instead of having a mismatch back seat i decided to make my cabriolet a cabri-olé!

Fixed a bunch of vacuum leaks on the Jetta, in the process got rid of the lean code I was getting. Maybe a camshaft is in my future.

Today on the Jetta, I fixed the trunk lock so it actually locks and unlocks, and reinstalled the slidey sunroof cover panel that I covered in a nice mellow plaid.

I ordered new Stern mounts for the Passat; snub front mount, soft engine pro-mounts, and transmission mounts.

Finally got all 4 corners on air ride. Sway and a notch are next, hopefully next week. But I also thought I could do the air ride install in a couple of days.

Also, excuse the filth of the car...

Der Passat got a new battery today, the old one was installed in 7/2005! El Yetta is getting a bit of sunroof work done to it. Need to get it running parallel, and sitting properly in the opening. I'm gonna lower it more, but don't have time today.

1990 golf: Switched the incorrect red speedo gear for the correct white one. I changed my mk2 valve cover gasket to a mk3 one with the correct studs, and also the breather grommet that goes in the cover got replaced.
1991 sahara coupe: I swapped out an old CTS for a new one. Now it doesn't stall but it doesn't run very well yet either.

Still experimenting with ride height, but it's most likely going to be lower in the future. Here's the progress.
