    Thread: Hood Latch Replacement

    1. 05-22-2009 01:58 PM #1
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a guide for removing a broken Hood Latch. I would just pop my hood and take a look to see if I could figure out how to take it out so I can replace it. Problem is once I pop my hood I won't be able to get it back down again, so if I am missing a tool or something I need I won't be able to just run to the store and grab what I need.

My plan is to go to a junk yard and grab a hood latch out of one out of there and again I don't want to get there and find out I don't have the right tool and spend half the day running around grabbing collecting everything I need.

Bulding on this I have called around and some places are asking for 110 Bucks for a Hood latch and others are asking for around 50. I was wondering what you all though a fair price would be for a Hood Latch (new or used).
