Where: Belfountain Conservation Area, 10 Credit Street, Belfountain (Caledon) http://www.creditvalleycons.com/reca...ons.co...sitor

Entrance - $4.25/vehicle for park admission

Meet/Greet in the conservation area for a while and then later in the day we have a cruise through the Forks stopping at key points to have a photoshoot, etc...

If you'd like a t-shirt or sticker/decal please email me at ronandrewweeks@gmail.com and tell me your shirt size and how many stickers/logos you'd like. I'll keep an excel file going so if it goes through you'll find out how much for the t-shirt or stickers for final order

So who's in??? Post up if you're in for the meet. As you post i'll continue to update this original post with the attendance list.

The meet will be open to all VAG makes and models, but please keep the parking portion of MK1's open for MK1's only and the others park close by so that we can get a large MK1 photoshoot at the lot

OK so i've updated the original post with who's in or tenatively in for the meet/cruise.

How's about folks update when's a good date...maybe early July (weekend of the 11th) if that works for people? It's after Canada day and doesn't interfere with show dates if I remember correct. That way people have time to sort out any posisble issues that would stop them from coming.

What's everyone's thoughts on July 11th or 12th for the meet/cruise???

As for location it looks like we're having a lot of interest from both east and west end Toronto folks, some Niagara interest and even K/W area. For that reason i'm thinking of west end location's to meet and then maybe a cruise to the Forks or something?

That's one of the few weekends that I don't have a show somewhere else.

As for location, I really have no idea as I'm not local. I'll leave that up to the rest of you.

If this works out, we should make this an annual thing. It could be like Mk1 Madness North.

MK1 Madness "Canadian" Edition...love it..just hit up Esher in the US and run it by him...ask him if it's cool that we steal a little bit of his glam

As for location, I'm down with anything. It shouldn't matter though. I would suggest that true mk 1 followers will drive anywhere within reason to get together for this type of event...ask Dave, he does

Wanna PM him brother to double check? If not that's cool. Hell maybe some of the US boys will come up to this as well if we can get his "backing" to use the name and I'll post the link into the Golf 1 forums as well

Looks like the 11th - 12th weekend's good for everyone. How's Sunday the 12th? can we set that in stone folks?

Alright so i'm going to take a look at some areas online and find out some 1/2 decent spots out there in the western part of the GTA as it seems like a good meeting point for most on the post so far.

Would people like to turn this into a BBQ as well? If so we can do that where we all pitch in together and bring what's needed to contribute and we have some food, stories, cruise and photoshoot??

What's your thoughts? Chime in with ideas, meeting places, photoshoot places, etc.. folks

I've got a choice of 3 mk1s, all in various states of "almost there"

- dad's caddy w/ the turbo diesel that's almost done being rebuilt
- dad's rabbit that is still gutted and wanting to be put back together after paint last year
- my caddy wanting the engine swap in a week

That being said, I'm definitely down for this. Oh, and Andrew, I've got those clamps for you, they're rusty and I'll have to use vice grips to get the nuts off...you'll get them in 1.5 week, I hope
