Alrighty folks...got the quote...Looking at $1.50/sticker and they'll be ready shortly.

I ordered a run of 50 and will be paying out of pocket for them and will have them for the event for those that want them.

Please let me know still about how many you would like. They will be run in White.

      Andrew

If you have a good side pick of a caddy I can make it.

You guys make me want to build a mk1 as soon as I pay off my car.

      Wouldn't that technically be a mk1.5?
I think the mk2 'roccos are fair game, unless people are going to start getting snobbish over "early mk1s" and "late mk1s" and Westmoreland mk1s
and...don't late 80s Cabbys seem to slip in on occasion too?

As I mentioned to BJ at Sterling last week...as long as it's boxy I think it qualifies

If motor removal involves "up and over " or "down and under" then its a mk1.

      All are welcome

Just wanna make sure the MK1's get prime parking beside each other for picture's sake

you are now opening the door for MK3's, 4's and 5's... wasn't the point of this to try and promote something similar that Esher is doing in the US? Grass Roots level, mk1 only?

If not, it's cool with me....we still get to keep the name

I was going to say...we already have the old skool gtg's for multi-platform but older (aka rusty) car gtg's...whereas to have a PURE mk1 meet would be different and quite a sight to see.

      Alright
      So,
      Rabbit 75-84
      Scirocco 75-89
      Cabriolet 78/79-93
      Jetta 80-84
      Caddy 80-83

Now, I know this is pretty much only for Adam's benefit.... but do you want to allow the B1 platform Dasher as well?

    24. 06-17-2009 02:25 PM #129
      sure...

      I just don't want to see any A2, A3, A4 or A5 chassis VW's...

there is plenty of time and space for those generations to setup up an appropriate gathering.

Stop trying to complicate things, Sandor.

Of course a Dasher would be allowed.

Coupe is STILL waiting on 02A tranny mounts. I found a set to copy, but the prices/time required is unreasonable. I found someone in the states that I trust to fab them and at a good price...but then the time line is an issue. (still trying to hammer out that one). I should just call WRD, spend the $400 CDN (by the time they get here) and get er done.
