      Since we're just posting pics.

My son's first pike. He was so excited he was shaking.

His first sucker. He was almost 3.

A small Bay of Quinte walleye taken in December. I don't look too happy that day. I'll see if I can find some pics of the big dogs.

I'll let you know when I got some time. Starting a business and leisure time don't really go together. My little guy is off to Germany and Switzerland in a few weeks with my parents, I'll be down a fishing buddy.

I haven't caught a carp in years. My buddies and I used to fish for them in the Rouge River when we were kids. They were called the Rochester rocket because when you hooked one it would usually make it's way to Lake Ontario and keep going, and going, and going.

      Going shortly.

It's beautiful out here now! A little warm and muggy but the sun is shining.

My son and I went to Frenchman's Bay. He got 6 gobies. We took 2 home to feed the fish in the tank. They're being digested as we speak.

bajaguy and I will be musky fishing next weekend, not sure where just yet, possibly a small little known lake in the Kawarthas or Gloucester pool.

Looking forward to Musky fishing in the Kawarthas tomorrow. So anxious I've actually went to 3 fishing stores just for nothing but did get a prototype of a giant swimbait from Wolf lures to test.

I'm up north for the next 2 weeks. I imagine I'll get a line wet a few times up there.

Working my ass off and leisure time don't go well together. I have managed to get out a bit to a few places.
      East Lake
      Pigeon lake
      Lake Scugog
      Rice Lake
And a few trips to the Pickering nuke for some smallies.

      Still want to hit:
      Bay of Quinte
      Stoney Lake
      Lake Simcoe
      Lake Couchiching (Sp????)

Wow, how did I miss this thread? I'll have close to 100 days on the water this year... Here is just a teaser from '09....

Playing with the pin down in the US on a Lake Erie trib. Winter steelhead fishing.

Some more steelies on the Sauble.

Some mackerel and a nice Pomp caught down in Florida.

A view from our canoe during a portage in Algonquin.

Local resident rainbow from a Lake O trib.

Jigging for whities and lakers out on Simcoe.

Personal best walleye, just under 33inches I caught on a recent flyin.

      Nice smallie from eastern Ontario.

Nice laker from a recent trip up to Lake Nipigon.

My oldman with a big, burly Nipigon northern.

Nothing gets better then this, 23inch male brookie in full spawning colours.

      Another fat northern.

..and of course my oldman with another monster. (he had both big pike of the trip)

Big, fat nasty brown from a Lake O trib.

and if you read Ontario of of Doors, you might remember this from page18 of the latest issue. Steelie from a Lake O trib.

I have tonnes and tonnes of pics, I won't bore all you guys with them

Anyone know of a good shore fishing spot for little tykes? Looking for some rock-bass or sunfish, just to get something fun on the line. Maybe with a park/picnic area? TIA

A lot of the docks in the Kawartha's hold piles of pan fish, finding an unpopulated one is the trick. Shallow weeds are pretty much key.
Oddly enough in the Aurora area some of the storm water retension ponds hold fish for the little ones (and golf courses). I took my little guy a few years back to a retension pond in the St. Johns sideroad and Younge St. area and there were oodles of sunfish.

Oh man, it would kill me to get rid of my float gear. Especially when there is nothing else to do in the dead of winter but ice fish, lol.

You can get some cheap float gear man, you should get back into it!!!!

Well I'm going to try to make some time this weekend to beat on the bass, I can't believe it's already Labour Day weekend. My son is in Switzerland right now with my parents so I'm without my little fishing buddy. I'm hoping to make it to the Bay of Quinte and Couchaching, or possibly Stoney Lake.
