Those spikes for the centers are legit. How did you make them? Just machined some metal into spikes and popped/cut out the middle of the Keskin center plate?

since the wheel is obviously 1 piece, how are you guys going by powdercoating the faces? are you having the powdercoater mask off the lips? because from what i understand some powdercoaters wont mask off lips like that, apparently its difficult for them....

or are you having them painted at an automobile paint shop? masking the lips and spraying the faces?

    just curious.

also, for this modification, are you threading the holes before you screw those bolts in?

Acid dip, media blast, polish lips, mask off lips, powder centers inside barrel and back of barrel, clear entire wheel. Fake bolt holes were tapped for BBS RM bolts.

masking is not that hard. i painted the centers with a spray gun. only cleared the centers. lips are raw polished. i did not want to have the cleare do what the old clear did. i tapped my holes as well. used a small amount of loctite too.

Agreed. Masking is not very difficult. I usually will start with pinstripe tape as it is more flexible (for curves) and then finish off with masking tape.

Where are people getting bolts from? I see some people just drilling out for the BBS RS bolts but just trying to see if I can get a replacement bolt in there same size 1/4-20 x 1/2in but can't seem to find any online or in the stores that are the socket head design like shown in a previous picture.

I'll post up some pics when I get done polishing them up.

got my bolts from allensfasteners.com. they are fully stainless and cost less than $15 for 140.

Masking with high temp tape for powder coating is more difficult than masking for regular paint.
