As for dubstep, it comes from ragga reggae that sort of style, and ive been cruising through the other post for some mixes that i havent heard before. It seems to me that the Dubstep thread has lost the plot completely, there all just coming out with all sorts of bollocks.

Most of the links you can just right-click it and select “save-as” or “save target as” or whatever. There are a few that you have to click the link and download from another page, but I tried to label those so you know.

Once you have the files downloaded you can sync them, drag & drop, or burn to cd, whatever works for you. If you have any more issues send me a private message.

I wanted to use tunes from 1998 till 2008, to show there's still some continuity in sound. (There were too much tunes I wanted to include, so a second part of this mix has been added.) Since I started to buy vinyl in 2002, there are a lot of tracks inside of that period. listening to the june miller one now. actually reminds me of when tech step was first coming out like early decoder. more chill and atmospheric, but dark too.

Oh I know what you mean. Totally. Everything is cyclical. I’ve been saying this ‘minimal’ trend is very reminiscent of when techstep first came along. Decoder made some wicked tunes back in the day.

The june miller one is pretty good. There are some good tunes on his myspace too. Might be one to watch...

I wasn’t mixing ragga jungle in 94, but we used to get sent these crazy mix tapes with the roughest sounding tracks. All angry and full of gunshot samples. The tracks mainly consisted of an Amen, a phat sub-bass and a yardie/rasta lyric. And to me and my mates it was the most exciting and hardcore sound in the world.

Finally I got to jam together all those tracks that I used to listen to back in the day and lay down a ragga jungle mix of my own. I’ve tried avoiding the really obvious tracks on this and sough out the more obscure artists. Although I haven’t neglected some of the massive classics from 1994 like Hitman (Dream Team Remix) and Sound Control.

Whether your are a hardcore ragga fan or you’re just jungle curoius this mix will sort you right out."
