between my e1's and PEN I am seriously wanting to get into older MF glass. I took picture's at my daughter's dance class over the wknd and was really impressed by the e1/50 f1.8 combo.I shot the 50 on the PEN as well and can start to see what all the MF/PEN rage is all about...
seems your 50mm MF is put to good use as well...

You can get a 50mm along with an adapter for under $75. And once you have that adapter, you can look for other cheap OM lenses to play with. You really can't lose with OM Zuiko glass. It's awesome!

got mine, a 28mm f3.5 & a om10 for $65
waiting to hear from someone here in town with a 50mm f1.4/om10 kit for CL cheap
will start cruising a few shops I know as well

just about everyone of these pictures are absolutely amazing... Is it the glass? or are all the "olympus folks" just that good? The colors,the contrast, the range... im tellin ya my jaw was on the floor...I shoot with a canon xs by the way... my first dslr coming up on 10k shots

That sucks. But $hit happens. My 11-22 fubared up 2 weeks after I bought it, when my bag malfunctioned and dropped on pavement!!!
I got it back, and it works great now!!

The glass does make a huge difference. I had the kit stuff..but sold all of it for 2 lenses. And I'm happy.
Also, I am looking for an EC14. Know anyone?

Brought my E-510 to two wedding video jobs for a few quick snaps.
I got the Eye Piece extender/magnifier...much better but still no good in low light...shame. Still need a bigger viewfinder for low light....
Awesome in daylight though. I'm pretty much bang on in focus with my minolta lenses.

Minolta Rokkor 135mm f/2.8 for both photos.
Olympus ME-1 Eye piece. I feel like I paid too much for it....but I couldn't find one used...

The Pentax one needs a little modification, but it's better than the ME-1.
The Olympus ME-1 is 1.3x magnification though...Pentax is 1.2
What i'm saying is, it helps but it still doesn't solve the puny viewfinder....
I'm just waiting for E-30 prices to crash some how.

Nope, both are 1.2x. The ME-1 has been known to cause vignetting and a small loss of light, where as the O-ME53 is known to be not as bad with vignetting and actually increase the brightness. Of course, if you are a person with glasses, your results will certainly vary...
You are right, the E-XXX bodies have horrible viewfinders in general.

the last month has been hectic with the next to be more of the same, haven't had as much chance to shoot it as I'd like. last night's moon was the first shooting in about 2 weeks of having it stare me in the face taunting me to go out and play with it...
more moon shots tonight, have house projects taking over to get my parents moved in...
really enjoying it the time I've had with, just need more time in a day...

Pics are looking super good! I think that eventually I will get one of those for the wife. But for now, I just bought a new computer and a new car!! (MK6 golf TDI
)The converter hasn't showed up yet, but the weather has been the shiiiiiiiiiiit anyways. I will definitely post up pics as soon as I get it
I also just got a Minolta MD->4/3 adapter so I can use some SWEEEEEEEEEET glass I have from my Film Days. 250mm Minolta Mirror f5.6 and 24-35mm f3.5.

really getting intrigued by the MF glass options for the PEN... shot my 50 zuiko on it and liked the results. making me think bad things about grabbing other MF zuiko's with no job in sight...ugh
looking forward to seeing the minolta shot's when you get that in hand.
BTW - quit whining about weather, you've got an e1 sealed like a tank...lol, no excuses
