It's the mixing of light sources. Strong ambient coming in from windows and interior lights can cast odd colors. But the beauty of shooting in RAW is it's very easy to color correct. I sometimes see magenta tones coming from my E-5, in that case, I adjust the hue more towards green and take out a little magenta in Lightroom and that usually does the trick.

Do you have a gel kit for your flash? Gels help a TON!

BTW, that food shot looks really good... In more than one way

I've never noticed it with my 5D MKII and in some of the photos I was shooting in ambient daylight/tungsten.

The one of my friend and his kid are with the dynalites setup with the exposure setting to kill any ambient, which was easy enough since it's pretty dark in his place. The Taco one was with a flash and daylight. The flash should be pretty close to daylight and I've never gotten a magenta tint from that.

Another one was from daylight and flourescents.

It's something I've never had to adjust for with the Canon in PS and it's not something that should be caused by mixed lightsources in general, just specific color temps.

This one was pure daylight and looks like it has a magenta cast to it.

here are all my craiglist/thrift store finds... i have adapters for all

      (M42 mount)
      Super-Takumar 150mm f4
      SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4
      SMC Takumar 28mm f3.5

      (OM mount)

      Vivitar 90-200 f4.5
Minolta 50mm f1.7 (not pictured, because that's what I took the picture with )

Gotta say, I love all my takumars... the SMC 50mm 1.4 is a dream of a lens to use and i can't wait to get some shots in with the 21mm Zuiko lens.

I have lots of pictures, but need to upload to my flickr account.

have you adjusted anything in camera... maybe a hard reset and see if it still does it after that???

if no joy after that I'd think about sending it in, still in warranty???

i paid less than half of the going rate for the lens... ebay they go for 500+ easy...
i got it for 200 including the original leather case and a bunch of UV filters and a old minolta 49mm wide angle hood.

not the fastest lens but with proper light or a tripod, it takes amazing pictures
the f2 version of the zuiko 21mm lens goes for well over a 1200

well played... looking forward to seeing some shots with it.

I scored a 17mm Rokkor for about 1/2 market value like that and flipped it to KEH to get my 20mm
f1.7 for no additional cash out of pocket.

      I got my OM-10, the 50 f1.8 & 28 f3.5 for a whopping $65 from CL.

My other Rokkors were also another bargain buy.

It's fun to find the deals out there...

Yeah I def need something wider than the 28mm, maybe looking at a macro soon as well.

But the Vivitar 28mm is a nice piece of glass and really compliments the 50mm/1.8 Zuiko lens I have.

I ended up going with the 8mm Rokinon I was asking about before. Pretty solid lens for $300. A little freaky but I figured I'd throw up one of my first shots with it. It was for my 52 week group, the theme was 'zombie'

Waiting for my macro converter to get here. That anticipation is killing me

Hoping to finally have free time this weekend to shot some more video with my EP2. Been a crazy couple of weeks of traveling and shooting for work.

      Pre-ordered to OM-D.

The EP-3 is either going on sale this weekend or after it gets here. It fixes the complaint I had of either have a viewfinder or hotshoe. Now we can have both!

I really think I'm going to post my e30 w/ grip and a few other things to get this when the first price drop rolls in or a used one.

It's looking too good with all the posted examples around.

for the pre-order, you go black or silver???

Silver. I almost bought black because it's more discrete, but decided that I wanted to blink more.

Snot terribly. Looks fine at that size.

Here's some photos from food reviews. Most are done with the Lumix 20 f/1.7 as the Oly 45 is a bit long to use when sitting at a table. It's become my go to camera for this because the compact size fits well on my bike, which I ride to most of the restaurants I review, and it's a lot less of an "event" getting it into a restuarant and taking photos rather than my 5D MKII. I use a Crumpler 5MDH with the Oly and the 5DII for reviews, but pulling out a large DSLR with the 17-40 f/4L feels like advertising to everyone in the room that you're there for something.

Bonus of the 4/3 system is that the site I write for requires photos te be 640x480, which is the same ratio and means I don't have to be as mindful of shooting for a crop and can frame my photos in camera.

I really can't wait to get the OM-D.

This is what I carry the Oly on.

If you guys want to see more, check out the reveiws on TopThisPlace.com by Will K. Most all of the later ones were done with the Oly. I think the first one was the Blue Moon Cafe.
