Thread: What did you do to your "Dub" today?

  1. 09-23-2009 08:38 PM #141
Newb here. Recently picked up an '08 GTI for my daughter. A bit more speed than she needs. So, I am going to use it as a loaner for my detail customers. So, today, I finished a three day paint correction on this little red demon.

Fun car and now looks perfect!!!

I never really thought I would be that jealous of the GTI. I definitely have a little bit of a GTI fever though! Beautiful job
And where is that shot? I was thinkin in your third picture down the peak just to the left of your car's roof isn't sugarloaf is it? Great pics tho.

BUT atlease i am not over heating at a stop light any more.

Mine marked up part of the road with coolant, found out my alternator bracket broke and the water pump wasnt spinning.
Fixed that, now I just need to buy that BBM pulley and do the serp setup. I have everything else!!

    I used to rollerblade.

Gave a poor beat up, neglected, and abused 86 jetta a new lease on life... in process of giving it a nice two tone coating of properly flattened satin enamel...

Been under construction for about a week now!

I like European cars. Generally, the costlier they are to maintain, the more attracted I am to them. If they sit in the garage on blocks and don't run, I don't care. They're still mine.

I just about finished removing the vapor barrier adhesive from my drivers door. I had to fix the window regulator. Then I get to clean the filthy door card and plastic trim. Though I did find about a dollar in change stuck in the plastic door pocket!

Made a conscience decision to tear down my cabriolet project which I have amassed about $4000 in parts and actually restore it. Now I just need to clean up the garage!
