It was texture time to the Mk3 Jetta. Bumos, rubs, front/rear valance and new 1 piece skirts. It actually looks pretty decent and compliments the new rack and basket!!

The snows have been a little light in the south, but I am leaving my snows on! That and I just got two new snows for the rado as I killed 2, 2 years ago, but I did not run the rado last winter.

Yesterday, I took my TT stainless exhaust apart because a weld had failed all the way around one of the resonators. I found a shop in Salida that could weld stainless and had them repair it rather then send it back to TT. Reinstalled everything last night and got the alignment better.

I have been running the rado sans charger as that has died. I need to decide if I will get a replacement charger, go turbo PG, turbo ABA, or 20v T.

Upgraded the 5th gear housing on my 4K tranny. No more guess work when filling. I also did a little modification before install.

Chased down a short in my Megasquirt harness. Apparently the heatshrink didn't insulate the +5v supply for the distributor well enough and grounded through the other heatshrink to the ground wire. At least it was easy and cheap to fix, although a pain in the ass to find.

just finished removing the OEM muffler on my mk4 vr, and replaced it with a Magnaflow. i left the resonater in the tunnel, and it sill sounds great. not too loud, but so much better than the OEM. and for $30 and some install time, its not bad. extreamly pleased.

Did the TDI 5th gear swap in my 2.5L 5 speed trans yesterday. Dropped me 550 RPM at 80mph! Hoping to see some big gains in gas mileage.
