Havent gotten too much done in about 3 days was real sick. Got the Serp setup in and complete and everything plumbed, but I mangled the two pin terminal tryin to get it in the housing. I gotta buy that little tool I guess, I couldn't get it to seat in the housing.

if I had a lift I wouldn't mind doing it but it's a pain in the ass without one and there's overlap in labor on some of it. :-)

How bad is it?

I was luck enough to only get cosmetic damage. I was in a long line of cars waiting to get into the Aiport passenger/employee parking lot. Of course some dumb b!$#h feels she can't wait like the rest of us so she decides to push her way in right in front of me. Of course I refused to move and as traffic was inching along so did I, and of course she inched along too. I rolled my window down and beat on her down while honking the horn at the same time but she kept going. My mirror went down the side of her car and her front tire caught the bumper and front driver side marker light ripping them both off. I got out of the car and starting yelling and letting her know how special she was. During the whole time of the accident and when I was yelling she never got off of her cell phone. Of course she left the scene! While I was talking with the Police making a report he got a call that they found the car in the parking lot. A tow truck was dispatched and the car was immediately impounded. I've already reattached bumper and glued the light cover back so the car does not look to bad. My biggest concern is dealing with the insurance company. I'm sure there gonna wanna total out the car and give me some cash and possibly a salvage title. On top of all that I kind of don't want it anymore, the damage is not bad at all but it's just not the same anymore.

I replace all four upper control arm bushings and rear rotors and pads on my phaeton.

Roberto, when the at fault drivers insurance company totaled my Passat 3 years ago, it did not give me a salvage title!
I fixed it for $350, they FINALLY paid out $1950, I let them keep $50 and I got to keep my car.

Cosmetically it's ok, inside is missing some of the plastic.

IDK why they keep failing... done 3 passenger sides and just did the second driver side. allignment is ok, no crazy camber. and i drive like a grandma being lowered.
replaced both axles, and put in better quality bearings, so hopefully this mess is over...

any tips or advice would be greatly appriciated.

on a lighter note, picked up some BBS RSs, 16x8 fronts, and 16x9 rears... gonns strip them down and do some work on them over this winter to run them next summer.

I found they're sensitive to torque specs. They're torqued to something stupid like 250 ft. lbs., but I'd double check with a Bentley first.

Without sounding like an a-hole... you're doing them wrong if they're failing that frequently. Not your wheels, alignment or axles. We get them almost every week from other SHOPS who don't know what they're doing.

Drove to Boulder and back on Monday in my Jetta, it idled at 1800-2000rpm all day. Got it back home and popped the hood to find the ISV flopping around on the valve cover due to a broken bracket. I'm sure there's a torn hose in there as well.

How in the hell does that bracket break? It looks like 14 ga. steel.
