not a fan of the white faced gauges
Gauges are normal blue backlit, that looks like the SEL, up through '09 the in dash information display wasnt available on the SE or S. Those 3 dots look like LEDs, up through 09 there are 2 red LEDs that shine down, right on the shifter. It's pretty nifty at night and it looks like they have one on the driver/passenger seats as well as the shifter. And that looks like climatronic, navi by the way.
Edit: thats the new navigation system, the base and premium stereo are blue backlight with black lettering AFAIK.

I like it too. A lot of potential retrofits for the future.
The sun glass holder looks bigger..

yes, this looks like bits and pieces of new MkVI stuff on the existing MkV template. it's a little strange after seeing the pictures of the new golf, but I kinda like it.
I love all cars, I just happen to own a few pieces of german crap at the moment.

I sat in a CC a few weeks ago and noticed the gauges were white back-lit and was really wishing it wasn't a sign of things to come cause im really gonna miss the Blue.
Now on the other hand if they did it like audi (mix some blue in with the red and white) then it would be all gravy.

Why yes, that new black is much fresher looking than the old black.
