Midwest Treffen – Des Plaines, IL – Aug 22-23

For a couple years now, most of the Wisconsin people have been using the Ryan Road Park and Ride on the south side of the city as a gathering point for a cruise down to the show.A little video of last year's line up and cruise! The quality isn't so good but it gives you the idea....
Meanvw and I will have registration forms printed up and hand them out at Ryan Road. This will make it easier on everyone when we get down to the show.
This is the schedule for the day:
8:00-9:00am Arrive Ryan Road Park and Ride. I94, Exit Ryan Road. Park and Ride is in the North East corner of the freeway interchange.
9:15-9:30am Line up and depart
There is a McDonalds and a Wendys at this exit both on the east side of I94. There are 2 gas stations Shell and Pilot on the west side of I94 at this interchange.
Folks that are further to the south of Milwaukee usually just wait for the group along the southbound on-ramps to I94 and join in when we pass by. There are quite a few Racine/Kenosha people that meet up at the Hwy 50 exit (Brat Stop restaurant). We typically roll past there at about 10:00am-10:15am.
It takes about an hour and fifteen minutes to get down to the show from Ryan Rd.

I asked meanvw since he drives past every day 2x per day and he says it is still open. I'll be heading to Kenosha for work on Wednesday and I'll be sure to do my own personal visual verification. If the location needs to be moved, we can work on that over the next few weeks.

I think last year you k-towners waited along the on ramp at HWY 50 or something like that. If some of us have cell numbers for you we can give a heads up when we're close....
