it might be important to note that this would not be the case if I were driving in advanced run groups. I've yet to run up against a very advanced intermediate driver in a corvette though, which is roughly my skill level these days. The wagon is fast enough to pass a good amount of the cars in intermediate sessions.. but not fast enough to pass some of the best drivers on track

Some crappy pictures.. Will take some better pictures when the sun comes back.. Only rain here now..

thanks! Don't have that, but I will try to get some next time Im under the car.. Will try to explain, but my english is not that good..

But I have removed the rear silence.. The exhaust goes from 1 to 2 with a Y before the rear subframe.. And just straight out.. But you have to cut some off the car at the right side.. Just to get the space

Aw, man, VW US European Delivery...what a great program that was when a bunch of VWs still came from Europe...

Sauschell, any delivery pics to share with the rest of us? Did you get a pic of your variant when you first laid eyes on it?

A guy I worked with took European delivery of his brand new US-spec M3 last year. He took a week and drove the car all over Germany (including the 'ring), then stuffed it on a boat and flew home. Epic, epic vacation.

The only downside is he followed break-in to the letter and did not exceed 5k RPM or some-such for his entire visit. He passed the break-in mark after he got back stateside.

He's got a photo of the car rolling into the area where he took ownership.

I think I am sold on ST's. I've had them before on a different car, but people claimed they do not go low enough. 24 3/4" FTG is low enough for me.

How much lower can you go? Or how many threads are left?

I have about 5 or 6 threads left all the way around...It could easily go to 24". I have no clue how anyone would drive around any lower than that and not have air. I have zero tire gap all the way around and they ride perfect.

I really love the look, but at that height, how does it handle driveway approaches, and do you have to worry about your wife opening the doors into curbs?

Also, how hard are they to install yourself?

at around 24" ftg you definitely need to worry about the gravel guard hitting things occasionally, scraping your car's undertray on crappy driveways, and scraping your lip. But then, I scraped my front lip more when I was at stock height (over 2" higher than I am now) than I do now with the added Euro GTI lip. It's all about how you drive

My wife knows how to handle riding and driving lowered VW as she had my GTI that was 24 1/2" ftg. I have kind of a crap driveway and it takes it just fine, also speed bumps are no problem with three people in the car. I may raise it up a bit in the future but for now I am enjoying the low life!

i know this is an old thread, but I am considering these, love having my windows down while it is raining, not so much on all the drip down on the inside of the door. one question: why are these 40% more in Canada?
