1.8T I-Beam Forged FPO Rods with Forged Piston Set

Made from Cr. Mo.Ni.Steel (SAE 4340) forgings. Heat treated to ensure internal as well as external strength and to facilitate uniformity of strength throughout the entire rod. All rods come complete w/ ARP2000 Fasteners. Wrist pin oiling Rifle drilled.

Brute Connecting Rods utilize forced pin oiling to facilitate a more reliable bottom end. We have found that under normal operation, dry pin bushings that rely on oil squirters and windage require a rebush far sooner then is acceptable to us. Ensuring that the pins recieve adequate pressurized lubrication can more then double the life expectancy. Since rebushing a tapered rod is an extremely complicated process, the added peace of mind is a good thing.

WE DO NOT DRILL OUT STANDARD RODS. THESE RODS ARE MANUFACTURED TO ACCEPT DRILLING TO KEEP STRENGTH

    ASK ABOUT OUR ENGINE PACKAGES

    Applications:

    1.8T H-Beam w/ 19mm Pins

1.8T and 9A w/ 20mm Pins I-BEAM (can be used on all 20mm pinned/144mm length rod apps w/ forged pistons or OEM pistons equipped with 20mm pins (ie AEB, AWD, AMU, AGU, etc)

    1.8T Custom CP Piston Sets

1.8T Custom and Off-The-Shelf Wiseco Piston Sets

    1.8T OEM AEB Piston Sets

Looooooong story, so I won't divert this thread...

But I will say that Arnold has been the one of the most reliable and trustworthy vendor I've dealt with on the forums. These Brutes come with the edm standard, and as such, you won't have to wait for edm machining (which has been one of my issues for why it's taken so damn long to get a set of rods)

They are rated at 500hp but I wouldnt hesitate to throw more at them. The beauty of the tapered rods is the forced pin oiling. The thin section up top is adequately lubed and cooled which keeps heat down and the bushing intact. Tapered rods are engineered to eliminate as much reciprocating weight as possible under revs to keep the engine quiet. Perhaps its one of the reasons why we can use high comp pistons under revs and dont make the knock sensors go crazy... Knowing this throughout the years and the nature of bushing replacement on tapered rods, why not make them as reliable as possible?

As for engine packages, just ask. I've been doing it for years.

I know, they are beautiful rods. I'll stack them up to Pauter any day.

Are brutes made in the USA? where are they made?
There are a handful of people on this forum keeping it real and are intelligent enough to build proper cars. Everyone else, keep wasting your money and time running around in circles following the herd.
