danen, i've had like 4 dirt bikes, & i'm willing to part with my vegas hit me up. sh*t's mint, yo

This was my very first bike ever... It was an early 80's redline pro line exactly like this except without the front brakes and it had fiberglass Z rims. I had that bike in 98 and never had any trouble with it I then graduated to the 2000 specialized fat boy monotube.

    Redline link.
    http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/redline/14859

    Specialized link
    http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/specialized/13935

Wish I knew what I did with the redline I think my mom gave it to the D.I. But the specialized got stolen from my girlfriends house when I was like 18. Haven't ridden since. I also had a Raw finish frame S&M dirt bike that got stolen as well a couple years ago.

I've had too many bikes to count. Many of them were worth more than my mk2, haha. Managing 5050, a BMX specific bike shop, fed my OCD for nice bikes. I have an ok bike now, but nothing like I used to ride. I'm selling the mk2 though, so maybe a new frame is in my future. Now someone buy my 85!!!

Scott at TDC races, my uncle also raced back in the early 80's and he is getting back into it. He lives in MA right now though, but is moving back soon. The redline pro line I first got was his bike.

I have a Haro F2 I originally bought for my son, but he wanted a smaller bike. It is SO heavy. Granted it is a freestyle bike, but it is like twice as heavy as my old 90's GT Mach 1. I miss the old BMX bikes I have had. I also have a Trek MTB that is fun, but I haven't ridden it in years. I ride around town with my sons, that's about it. I am gonna take the training wheels off my oldest sons bike this week, though. Wish him luck!

i used to race big time. me & my dad were on the board of directors for golden spike bmx up here in ogden, i helped build it, too. i quit racing when i was about 17 because my dad was one of those guys where your best was never good enough. he ruined it for me. he kept racing, i focused more on street & dirt jumping, which i always enjoyed more anyway. i used to ride with matt beringer, fuzzy, elf, etc. i actually live a couple blocks from fuzzy's old house & matt's parent's house. there has been rumors of a bmx track opening up in ogden, if that's true, i'll be there racing & helping it all i can, but rad canyon is too much of a drive for me these days. i'd show up & race on my street bike, anyway or maybe my dad's old se floval flyer w/skyway tuff wheels (for all you old school heads)

    /novel

edit: pic of old school(mid school?)

i don't have any pics of it at all. it's in my storage unit right now (those that know me, know of my infamous black hole of a storage unit...) after i discovered bmxmuseum.com a couple months ago, i've been itching to get back together & riding again. i want to build it period correct. i want to cry when i think about all the amazing stuff that my dad had in his storage unit when he died, & i lost because he hadn't paid his bill...all of our trophies from years of racing 3 times a week, going to nationals, the grands, gold cup, all over the western u.s., etc, THOUSANDS of $$$ in NOS vintage bmx parts from the '70s, '80s, & a TON of s**t from the '90s, my s&m widowmaker cruiser, my revcore cruiser(that thing was DIALED!), rare prototype mongooses i got from fuzz, 2 or 3 quadangles, jmc's, a super rare 26" boss cruiser, MINT 20" & 24" pattersons, etc.

yeah, i'm with you on that one...i'm 31 now, started racing when i was 11. even though i "officially" quit racing when i was 17, i still went to the tracks for years because my dad raced. i'll bet we've met before, or you've at least met my dad, he was a pretty big part of the utah bmx scene (although not as big of a part as he thought he was...) & he was always the oldest guy at the track... still got a couple of state champion gearbags in my garage now, actually
