Like alot of you I have been slowly chipping away at collecting parts.
the problem with collecting is in the end you have a collection.....

    2.5" dp

    deka lightweight battery 15lb'r
20squared stainless 3"dp 2 o2 bungs with vband (ceramic coated)
spal 12" slim fan and spal 10" slim fan
    godspeed aluminum radiator - modified
stainless bend kit for IC piping (not ordered yet)
boostvalve dual stage switched boost controller
    post tb water/meth nozzle plate
    Precision pt46 46mm wastegate
atp 38mm tial to 44mm vband wastegate adapter
    turbonetics t4 cast manifold
    drc 268 cams
surge tank and fuel system redo

other odds and ends that may or may not be going in at the moment
    speedline alessio wheels (almost finished)
    r32 brakes (installed)
cdm quaiffed tranny that is recieving a 3.16 final drive
    carbon hatch (installed)
french spec ecodes (installed in normal ecode trim)

    thanks for the support zak

most of the work is probably going to happen at the "vagcave" xtremevdub's bay
so I'll be sure to include pics of his corrado that is also being torn apart atm

the target really isn't anything that hasn't been done I just want a clean, functional, easy to work on set up.
two boost pipes, with only two couplers.
    a clean vacuum system
    and some good cooling

oh and the godspeed radiator I am going to modify... where the radneck normally goes I'm going to weld it up and put a normal endtank outlet..

I'm not going to deal with a rad neck ever again nor will I buy a billet one ... it just seems a waste

Not quite sure if the car will make it to h20, but I am trying my best to get myself there.
I'm not sure my heart would survive the paranoia of a road trip that far...
shes a daily driver and the daily drive doesn't bother me, its just something about the word roadtrip that freaks me out

EXACTLY! After seeing all of those threads on the GS rad, I had that exact thought. I don't need a rad as mine is new, but if I ever do, the neck would be the first thing to go. I would likely put a 1/8" NPT fitting up there to install a bleed valve or allen plug (just to make it easy to purge the air out).

    Looks like a fun build!

    I'm pretty damn excited
now I just have to schedule some time off after the rest of the parts arrive

    updates:
    got this stuff today

    Ordered the Godspeed radiator
which will have to be modified when it arrives

I need some help price shopping
I'm searching for a 304 Stainless steel bend kit/ builder kit in 2.5"
this is the most - for the money - that I have found so far

    $227.17 plus shipping

2.50" OD x 3.75" Radius 304 Stainless Ultimate Builder Kit

    Includes: (4) 180 Degree, (2) 90 Degree, (2) 45 Degree Mandrel Bends & 4ft of Straight
( two of the 180's can beswapped for 45's or 90's, however you can get a lot of different bends from a 180 dependant on where you cut)

    Tube Size: 2.50" Outside Diameter
    Wall: 0.065" (16 Gauge)
    Radius: 3.75" Centerline Radius
    Material: 304 Stainless Steel
    Leg Lengths: 5" From Tangent

    http://www.mandrel-bends.com/c....html

The same site has this kit in 304ss for 133 bucks

which for 45 bucks more I can add 4' of straight

bring the tally to 178 bucks which is alot cheaper and I think I just might be able to skate by

If you guys know of anything cheaper out there where I can get just as much product
I am also concerned with the first kit being to much piping
I am trying to route the piping from the turbo over the valve cover
and down through the carbon canister hole or down by the frame rail to the IC
then from the intercooler around the rad and up to the sri

If any of you guys have routed your IC pipes in a similar fashion how much material did you use?

Here is a pic I found that is the closest to how I plan to run my piping
    (2008cc's old corrado)

    If everything goes as planned
I'll be doing the headgasket, arp's, rad, fans, tstat stuff in just a couple weekends. I'll give you a call when it's going down.

probably gonna test fit the sri at the same time to determine where the fans are going to mount.

when i first meet andrew, i had a run of the mill vr6 mk2. after hanging with him for a couple of meets, he offered to take me for a ride. 5 minutes and one solid 3rd gear pull later i was already compiling a vr-t parts list.

can't wait to see this thing intercooled. when i get the jetta back on the road you, me, eddie, and drew (birdman) need to go on a I75 run!!!

on a side note this week i'm starting the teardown and rebuild process

    Radiator arrived today

Taking it down to the local radiator/ intercooler repair guy tomorrow,
hopefully he will be able to modify it the way I want to.

If not I'll have to find someone else
when the radiator is done, some of the work can start

    small update:

3" stainless Downpipe is on the way

as far at the radiator I've hit a small snag
I'm trying to source a small 3" piece of 1.5"od aluminum pipe locally to use as the new outlet for the radiator...

So far I have only been able to find 1 3/8" and 1 5/8" aluminum pipe 3/16 wall

just dropped off the new radiator outlet at the rad shop...
Should be done at the beginning of next week.

When its done the work will start, provided the compression test is ok
