No safety inspection station is going to be easy right now. You might slip through one that is being lazy but thats it. The inspectors inspectors are tightening their hold on the inspection stations. When someone is pulled and an officer notices something that should be recon and issues a ticket it all passes back through recon and down to the station. And you know how heavy sh!t can roll down hill! There is actually a few recon/safety officers that go out and inspect cars that get a pass at one station after failing within 30 days at another. They will go directly to the registered owners house and if the car is not legal they will fine the station that passed them. As you see the stations are very tight nowadays. Just get your recon and be done with it. Take pictures of your front fender tops before going to recon because they will dent them doing bounce test.
speaking of recon and stuff.....
I shat myself not too long ago....
On my way to school, I stopped by Fisher Hawaii. Parked in the lot and dumped the car.
While checking out, I notice two motorcycle cops are checking out in another line. I'm holding my breath as I walk to my car, and damn, it's the worst case scenario possible- their bikes are parked next to my car
...I check my windshield, no ticket.
HOWEVER, one of them is walking out of the store as I jump in the ride.... and in order for me to leave, I've gotta air up the ride as he walks right by me to get to his bike
Somehow, I leave without incident.... I'll be counting my lucky stars tonight
