on another note, my missfire problems have been solved. ended up shaving the powdercoat off of the valve cover where the nuts go to improve the ground which immediately turned off my engine light. then after that i found out that the gap on the plugs (denso ik22's) was entirely too big. at a .030 pre-gap the spark was getting blown out before fireing. regapped them to .024/5 and i can say that the car hasnt felt this powerful EVAR11!11!!!1111.

Glad to hear that it was a relatively simple issue. Never woulda figured a powdercoat would cause condutivity issues.

You guys should throw together a charity drive. Whether it be a canned food drive, or a money fundraiser for an organization like the Hawaiian Humane Society. I organized one of these last year back on Whidbey Island. Had a pretty decent turn-out, and gave the vw/audi community a different perpective when looked at from the eyes of the locals... That is just my 2¢

Check out the last page on that link. There was an article about that cruise in the local paper. After that, we had no problems finding locations for weekly/monthly GTGs. Businesses were offering their lots as well as special pricing on food when we had our GTGs there.

TFO did a beach clean up many years ago, and the turn out was pretty decent. WE had a few Food Drives/ and always donated the canned goods (from our shows) to the Hawaii Foodbank! You will find that the Hawaii scene is nothing like the Mainland.... Majority of the Euro Scene here is pretty much laid back and pretty much everyone knows each other. Thats why I will never leave the Euro Scene

Yeah I get that a lot. Its all under the hood and in the interior. If you can't reconize simple european mods, like most, then the car gets overlooked.

Its no show car, but does tend to do decent in it's class.

Yeah they are throwing me into the crazy watch schedule. Won't actually be able to make a Friday GTG till like the 11th. I am sure I will see everyone around, but for sure on Sunday the 6th for the Hawaii Kai GTG.

Picked up the car today. Damn it is dirty as hell! Now to get the out of state registration and safety done.

Now the dilema, go pick up Hawaii plates and have to run one up front. Or should I keep my Oregon plates and get to run front plateless (but then get hell from the locals)

Just get the hawaii plates..it'll be better in the long run. Try getting the veteran's plates..Im thinking of getting some for the gti.

$1 for a gallon at target or you can try Long's, but it costs more there. Should have just given you a gallon as I have about 10 of them in my garage.
