I fell in love with Alfas @ an Alfa club track day a few years back.
wish I still had my computer, I think I had some pictures.

This month, a few days when I walk out of my house to walk to work a GTV6 has cruised past .. Even going 30 that thing has an amazing howl
    Sounds like a banshee

One day... one day I will be living in a cardboard box, I will be broke, I will miss the days when I used to own a reliable, dependable car but I will own one of these babies. And I will stop looking back the moment I turn the key and the engine comes to life... I'd love one in anthracite metallic over tan interior preferably with Zender 16" wheels. 2.5, 2.8 or 3.0 liter I don't care, as long as it is the 12v V6 Alfa Romeo engine.

Seriously, that sound is like a drug. I miss hearing the one that used to be in my neighborhood. I imagine myself on a lonely twisty road, either going fast and listening to the car or cruising thru the city listening to some Gianna Nannini or Vasco Rossi. Ah, la vita è bella!

Fiat 126 bis build thread here. Error 404: 0-60 not found.

    GREAT article!!

We have got an 85 GTV6 in the family with a 3.0 swapped in it.. What an intoxicating car to drive!

    Cuore Sportivo!!!!!!!!!

This car is for sale! Very few of these Twin Turbo GTV6's were made. The price indicates this.

At 0:59 and 5:14 you can hear the distinctive Alfa V6 sound...

    EDIT:

This is from the inside of a modified one:

I JUST looked at this same article for the first time yesterday. I drove 100 miles to pick up a huge magazine collection that included every R&T since 1972!!!!

Thank you for posting these, though....so I don't have to!

The GTV6 is one of those cars that I have loved but yet to own.

It needs some work, but pleasently suprised. A new battery solved one of the biggest problems (it did not run per the seller- I so can't wait to call an tell him thanks). I WIN!!!!

PS that exhaust note is so intoxicating, who needs a radio in this car???

The interior has been completly removed, cleaned up, and re-installed. Looks SOOOO much better. The seat design and feel is also one thing I remember from a test drive (in an '86) from long ago.

I finally own one so now I can say I am a REAL motorhead. Thanks Jeremy Clarkson

zombie thread. I miss Callaway when they did cars from all over the world. Any story on why they only focus on domestics now?

They did VW's too. Turbo rabbits and Sciroccos, iirc.
