I used the .5 setup with the green somewhat very hard rear trans mount. Im running an o2m six speed and am making 573whp and 508 tq on my previous setup and Im pretty sure I just put her up another 50-100hp with a beautiful 2mm larger big valve head, p and pd, titanium springs, locks, keeperes, and 034 lightweight lifters with 268 cams. I def think Im gonna get there hardest one for the front at least. If you watch my dyno pull on the corrado forum front page titled 573hp 508tq you will seen what that does to .5 mnts. I love them and have been putting these in for years but Im just gonna order the delrin or whatever is the hardest front one they have right now. BFI FTMFW!!!

I will be ordering sometime this week, but I have a question, will the stg 2 raise the motor up any? I'm pretty low and iif I'm going to change mounts I might as well order some spacers as well.
#44
Our mounts do not "raise" your motor per se. It's a common misconception with the motor mounts we offer. However, over time the weight and movement of the engine can compress the stock mount from 1/4" to 1/2", or even more in some cases! Damage tends to be worse on higher mileage cars as well as VR6 engines. That being said when you install our mounts (or new mounts) your engine gets raised back to it's factory height.![]()

Weird question I know, but I saw your adv in the latest PVW May.2011 issue (last page) where a black Corrado is featured in your adv. It had what appears to be chrome Porsche door handles, Porsche door mirrors and probably BBS LM's...Any more info/pics of that Corrado?
I can scan the said page from the magazine if needed...

I was wrong on the LM's but that's a stunning looking 'Rado![]()

Just thought I'd throw my 2c in.
I bought these a while ago, .5s for the front and side and 1.0 for the trans.
It made everything feel nice and solid. There's a TINY bit of vibration (probably coming from the trans mount), but it's only at idle. All in all, I love em, great purchase.
The only thing is that I did NOT use the bolt they gave you for the side motor mount. If I did, I had no place to put the wires that were bolted onto the top of the original bolt, so I just used the original bolt again (after I had cleaned it up).

I am a little confused because i cant find a kit for G60 engines?![]()
#55
G60s would use these mounts:
Billet front mount
http://yhst-1918367471896.stores.yah...ksofrmomo.html
Rear Inserts
http://yhst-1918367471896.stores.yah...astremomo.html
G60 solid rubber trans mount
http://yhst-1918367471896.stores.yah...0sorutrmo.html
#56
So i should use a solid mount with no rubber in the front, and original mounts with poly inserts @ the rear?
The transmission mount looks very good, i think mine is broken because i sometimes have a lot of studdering and "klunk klunk" noises when i let off the clutch in 1st gear....
#57
Yes. Solid billet mount in front would yield the greatest performance for your g60. Original w/ poly inserts would be the best upgrade for the rear engine mount. I cannot say with certainty that a bad trans mount is causing shuttering or clunking in your car, but a worn mount could be contributing to those things.

i need to replace my engine mounts/bushings, its pretty much a stock vr with cams and a few other goodies, daily'd what would you guys recommend doing the stealth mounts or the .5s![]()
Drunk people run stop signs, high people wait for them to turn green....
#60
For all VRs we recommend starting with at least the .5 kit (yellow).
The additional weight of the VR engine responds best with these mounts.
If you're looking for a more aggressive setup, or you drive hard on a daily basis/track your car/etc, then you may want to consider the Stage I kit (green).
Either kit is a definite upgrade over stock. However, the Stage .5 will be more "comfortable" and the Stage I will be more "performance".

Well, you're in BC so if you're driving year 'round I would honestly suggest you go with the Stage .5 kit. With the winter temps up there, the Stage I will feel very hard and vibrations will be extreme.
If you're only driving during warmer months and you want maximum performance, go with Stage I.
It comes down to comfort or performance. Ultimately it's up to you.

What is the difference between the 2 different stage .5 front/side mounts for a 1992 VW Corrado SLC?
One is 35$ the other is 65$ they look identical, and have the same product description and fittings.....?
#68
This listing for $35 is just the upper (taller) poly mount:

This listing for $65 is the upper and lower poly mounts:
