Got an airbag fault in the GTI today This car has seen the dealership way too many times this year. Im looking for a set of stock 16" wheels so I can put some snow tires on it this year too. And I have also decided to trade the quattro for a mk2 which will become my next project Here are some of the pics I posted in the brokedown forum:

once all cars are road worthy, there will be a good long photoshoot with multiple angles and locations. I want some good professional looking shots of all of our cars for when I get around to working on the website

anybody got a spare 8v alternator? kyles gti won't run without jumper cables so I am thinking his is toast. Thinkin about trading the quattro for it, would be nice to have another mk2

First thing I'd try is to change out the voltage regulator and see if that works. I have a 8v alternator but it needs a rebuild. Tuckerman's auto electric can do it for like $50 I think.

I mostly just want to try one that is known good to see if that one is junk, id hate to buy a new one if its just the exciter wire or something dumb. It could also be that the battery terminals were loose and battery had no charge at all

Hey any of you guys have a MKII fuel pump housing kicking around that's not cracked (like mine)? It would have to be for a 60mm pump that came on all 16v GTI's, early 85-87 8v CIS Golfs or any 2 liter 16v. Let me know

I'd like for as many people to get together as we can sometime this week to finalize some stuff for the car show. We need to figure out the prizes and dash plaques so that our order will be received on time. "The Oktoberfest" is coming up, so supplies for things are running low. Post up what days are good for you. I'm thinking we can do another after 5pm type of thing somewhere.
