from what I have read it will be 6spd with around 250hp in 3 and 5 door with leather and climatronic standard. For 3-5k more than a new gti and I would be financing about what I did on my mkv so my payments would stay around what I can afford to pay now. Its getting harder to find reasons why I shouldn't own my dream car. Passat lease is up in April 2012 so I could trade free and clear without rolling anything over. Gonna be a long wait but should be worth it

I had been toying with the idea of a Golf R for the next car but as of yesterday I am now buying a black one of these! Can't wait for the Passat lease to be up next spring.

i read an article in eurotuner today on a revo-technik tuned golf 6 r somewhere over seas...anyways they are really talking up how it handles, up to 100% of the power can go to the rear wheels as well...addressed the understeer issue of the mk5 r..


anyways check out the article, it may change your mind from the gli...not that either choice is wrong...they had really good things to say about it is all

Well, today marks the end of an era. The GTI is officially gone. I have had some great times with this car and it has treated me well. It will be a long year waiting for my passat lease to be up but you better believe that I will be back in a big way come spring 2012. Whether it be a GLI or Golf R, there is another modded dub in my future. For now I will rock the passat while my wife enjoys her new loaded Ford Escape.

unfortunately I didn't get a chance. I tried working it into the deal but they said they were going to wholesale my car and didn't want it in there shop. You can find em on the tex for cheap though and with less rust than mine had.

Indeed a sad day but a necessary step in my master plan of car ownership

it wasn't a huge issue with it, my confirmed address is at my dads, but i havent lived there in years. i also have a new number so the confirmation codes to make the changes i couldn't get because they wanted to send them to a phone that i had back 4-5 years ago. i had to call customer service to confirm it was me

No question. I had the time of my life there. I plan to hit up a couple races there any maybe pocono or watkins glen as well.
