I must say I love yalls mounts. Especially the 85a rubber strut mounts. So far I have those and your "built" control arms with r32 rear and poly front bushings. Next I'm ordering a set of your stage 2 motor tranny and dog bone mounts. I have a question. Do you guys produce both the driver and passenger side mounts in the complete redesigned mount style? I'm thinking they will help get this PTE's power to the ground. Plus I love the look, they would look amazing in the shaved bay. I was pretty sure you guys made them still but don't see them here? Thanks for quality products as always.

Silly question: Is there any difference between the BFI complete trans side mount and using the inserts on a disassembled stock mount? Such as, is one going to transmit more vibe or allow more/less movement?

Why'd they have to be yellow?
      Cheers, yo.

Do you still sell the MKIV Golf Stage 1 inserts preassembled in "OEM style clam shell" transmission mount?

Both the complete transmission mounts and the transmission mount inserts perform equally as well.

The major benefit of the complete mount is the billet hardware, the larger bushing area which helps in reducing vibration and the complete mount looks better, especially when paired with an engine side mount.

In addition, the upper part of the OEM transmission housing is a point of failure on those stock mounts.
We have observed a couple of instances where that upper portion of the mount cracks under load in highly modified vehicles (hard launching, big turbo vehicles).
For heavily modified vehicles, we recommend purchasing the complete transmission mount.
Everyday enthusiasts would do fine with either solution.

Since we started offering the complete trans mounts, we stopped carrying the preassembled OEM transmission mounts.
We do however still carry the inserts:

Does your BFI MK4 Stage 1 Complete Motor Mount Kit - Inserts - 6 Cylinder, not come with hardware? I installed the motor mount and there was space in between the mount and the bracket so I had to install washers. I dont know if I missed that anywhere but I thought this was a bolt on and go.

Maybe you needed to jack the motor up another 10th of an inch?

I already tried that the bolts that were on the original mount are too long. When looking at the VF engine mounts I noticed that their even came with shorter bolts.

And are those washers doing the trick? If so, I'd say your good to go.

BFI - is there a difference in thickness of the base plate, yours vs. stock mounts?
