      thanks

just got my custom magnaflow purchased and installed for $380! i was gonna spend that money on a chip, until i was informed that no company is gonna have a chip for my 09 any time soon.

anyway, here are the pictures. i think it looks great.

Got any soundclips? Looks nice man. Your car is inspiration for the route I am trying to follow.

Also, where did you get the system so cheap?

the tips are 3" each. the actual piping is 2.5"

i wanted something that would fill up the whole cutout. the stock ones are puny and look odd in there.

its there. not as bad as i expected. i have a magnaflow resonator aswell. the most drone happens at 3k rpm. after that its smooth. sadly, thats right at about 70mph.

Like seeing the progression on your car so far, and the blue steelies make me feel like my Reflex Jetta needs something new in the wheel department too. Very nice!

well, havent been in here in a while. bills have been piling up, and money has been scarce. luckily, i ran into some new wheels and got them put on.

i sold the lexus wheels to jay (insertclevername) and then ran some huffs i bought for cheap for a while. but i saw these bad larrys and couldnt say no.

      lexus

      huffs

      and the new new

my car looks high as **** right now. time to bring the front down again

dude, nice transformation. the SC wheels with the centers removed looked just as dope. just needed sometin to fill in that empty space to make it flush. those fat5s are polished no?

hows the sound clips comin along on the exhaust?

after reading all of the build pages, it reminds me that all i need to do is take pics of my very minor progress. thanks for keepin this thing updated and keepin us up to speed.

thanks for the kind words man

the wheels are not polished, they just have really nice glossy paint sound clips still havent happened haha, i totally forgot i even said id grab it, so hopefully the next time my buddy is around, ill have him take one. and lastly, i really dont think id call this a build thread. im not really building much of anything. i just like to think of it as my cars timeline. just to show the progression to whoever may be interested.

I really don't care much for the look of the car myself with the silver paint and wheels being polished. Only thing I really like on it the exhaust tips. I am having kissues with my staying straight with the rear muffler rotating in place at the clamp. Did you have any issues with that??

wheels are no longer polished, but they are the oem audi silver that came on them.

and yes, i do have a problem with that. but, i also hit a driveway with my tips when i tried to back in. so im sure that didnt help.

i wanted to grab some better pictures of the car. so i went out to one of my neighboring towns which has a nice beach and marsh area. got some decent pictures, and also got myself stuck on a boulder. i had to be pulled off by a nice man in a ranger who seemed like he was having the time of his life. the underside of my car is not looking so hot.

i also, realised that i took the exact same picture, just in different spots, so im sorry for the blandness.

some nice wheels that were on a porsche parked next to me

new wheels are audi a8 "flat fives". they are 18x8.5 and the tires are hankook ventus v12 evos, 215/40/18

bolt right up to the stock hub and you dont need to buy any hubcentric rings or anything.

yea i hit a couple curbs when fist backing into parking spaces with it. but learned to adjust...
are you still having issues with getting it to sit straight because I can set it right then go drive around the block and seems like it rotates itself no matter how hard I tighten down the clamp. whether the exhaust pipes are hot, cold or even with car running..
So no i just drive with it slightly crooked..

im looking into notching my frame so i can go more than that. i was about an inch lower at the beginning of summer, but i ruined an axle and my dealer said they wont do another one under warranty. so ive gotta be careful. axles are not cheap.

i havent even tried to fix mine yet. only thing i did was pull up on the tips to see if anything would straighten out, and it didnt. i think i might have actually bent the tip up.

Yo man, your timeline is going backward. You went to original vents...
I like the Audi wheels, Lexus looked the best, just not the plasti-dipped version.
