haha yeah I know, trust me drop and wheels are my next big investment.

x2. Im a big fan of monoblock style wheels, but these might just look better with the covers off.

monoblock's do look really good, but Kyle's ( I hope his name is Kyle) car looks very good as is, but if he's looking for new wheels the monoblock style would surely be a good look.
even if everybody and theyre me-ma has monoblock's

haha yeah my name is kyle. i would consider these to be a monoblock style, even though most of the wheel is just a cover.

Hell yea those are some nice wheels. hahah.
And Kyle you said you polished them so unless I missed that photo post one up.
Edit: Went back to look for the pic and did not see one, but the B5 Rs4 wheels would look pretty bad ass on your car as well. Hahah. Just thought I would throw it out there.

this page... they have r-line grills sitting on top of them. they used to be painted silver, with the fake polished plastic cover. now the whole wheel is polished.

quick question for everyone who knows anything about offsets. i have someone interested in my wobble bolts. and im thinking about buying 15mm adapters to have a little better stance. would et30 on 18x8 wheels with 215/40s work?

my other option would be to put spacers out back. exactly half (9 out of 17) threads are used when i have my wheels bolted up. if i put 5mm spacers on, it takes away 2-3 of those threads. would it be safe to run them that low? 6-7 threads per bolt turned in.
here's a close up of the bolt, the darker area is obviously the area that has made contact with the hub threads.

I was looking for an on the car photo, but guess their not on yet. Did you just strip the silver paint off and polish them? If so what paint stripper did you use. I started stripping some audi wheel but think the paint stripper I have sucks. When warmer days come ill finish. haha

yeah, they arent on the car yet, dont even have the tires on yet. im waiting till after i get back from vaca (march 19th) to mount tires. and then probably april 1st to put them on the car.
i used aircraft grade paint stripper that i bought at lowes. took me about 35-40 hours of grinding, sanding, and polishing to finish. well worth it though imo. it was also my first time, so there were some hurdles. but people on this forum, and the local dubbers helped me out quite a bit.

no problem, have fun
got the led's in, finished putting them all in. and they look frigin great. plus i went around and fixed all the annoying rattles. and tightened some screws that i was told will cause more. i have 3 more fuse style led's coming in the mail from 42dd for the passenger side visor mirror, the glovebox, and inside the trunk. next will be ziza lights for the license plate. i also seafoamed it. smoked for about 5 minutes. took it for a ride and i can definitely feel a small difference. very productive day. now off to work.

kyle your wheel offset questions
yes you can do a et30 and a 215 would work but you might rub a 205 would be better
and you can run a 3mm or 5mm spacer safely just make sure to check the bolts for the first few weeks to make sure that the seat properly and stay tightened

lol, its quite a mix of led's. the domes are from superbrightleds.com the footwells are from a kid on here with the username "wushugs" but those arent as bright as the dome lights, and they have a weird tiger stripe look to them... and the courtesy mirror lights are from 42draft designs.
so all in all:
4x 194 wedge leds for domes: http://www.superbrightleds.com...5.htm
2x 194 no error leds for footwells: talk to wushugs
4x 39mm fuse style leds for courtesy mirros, glovebox, and trunk: http://store.42draftdesigns.co....html
im also going to buy some ziza bulbs for my license plate. but those cost $40 on their own from ecs. so thats probably gonna wait a little longer.
oh and just some info for those of you who dont know anything about leds like me. almost all led bulbs have a certain polarity to them. so if they dont work the first time you put them in, flip them around and try again. also, many people have said that they had a little problem where the leds remained lit (though very dull) constaintly even when the lights were in the off position. mine turn off completely and only come on when they are supposed to. alright. i really dont want to rub much, simply because i drive almost 300 miles a week. i think i might just grab some 3-5 mm spacers for the back, and leave the fronts as is.

Man, that is so bright. Those 194's are way brighter than the ones I got from TunerDomes.
I have a 5w Luxeon LED from SuperBrightLED's in my Rear Fog. I should have just ordered 194's from them too.
Is there a DIY for the courtesy mirrors?
