      great idea for a thread. the following is definitely a cheap mod
      I cut up a black plastic folder and set it into my headlights about 4 years ago, and it still looks good today. I used hot glue to keep it in place, and its about as easy as taking your headlights out and apart and replacing everything. maybe the cheapest mod, enjoy

      Not my mod but a good fix atleast which is cheap and easy...

      ::::::: Where to buy: eBay works fine, there is a site for rally STI hangers which i think are exactly the same

      great diy! you might want to think about coating the holes you drilled with clear finger nail polish, i didn't and the NY winters rusted them a bit

      Tools:
      Exacto knife
      Tools to remove torx screws from wheel well
      power drill and bits
      stencil or some sort of whatever its gonna take you to draw ur design on
      Materials:
      1' foot of mesh
      4 bolts and nuts
      a marker
      a brain
      DIY
      1) Remove the Wheel Liner from passenger side...
      2) Stencil on a design of ur choice... i wouldnt make the holes to large
      3) use exacto knife to cut out design
      4) drill holes around the exterior of your design and add mesh behind the design cut out
      5) anchor with bolts
      6) re-install on car

      1. Buy a "3" Flexible 90° Elbow w/Clamps" I got mine at lowes. here
      2. get a sharp knife and cut the middle section out.. one elbow can make 2 intakes
      3. put filter on large end. (fits perfectly over my 3" filter)
      4. place small end on maf (I.D. is 2.75" perfect over the maf)
      5. give other half to a buddy

      ***you'll also need to remove the SAI tube and get a small filter to go on the SAI pump ***

      just did a k and n swap for the filter on my car and it def pulls harder... just gotta keep it oiled...
      ill have to get some spray and give it a washing soon

      Ehh just be careful using an oiled filter, it can shorten the life of your MAF like whoa, i had to replace mine Dry flows are highly recommended it's what ive got now i love it

      Yea, it's a k&n. I took it off my old car. I've seen some pictures of cars with k&n though. I made the adapter to try and keep the filter farther away from the MAF. I may replace it when I got some time with a dry flow
      The black rubber matches the engine bay very well. imo it looks better than the red/blue silicone couplers most people tend to use
