so i have my streetlines installed and everything is a ok.
however i am seeing threads of people just as low as i am
and saying they have 15 threads left to go down in the front,
where as i am at 2 threads left in the front.
there has been nothing said about pulling the helpers either
the springs are both yellow if there is a difference in 1.8 and vr6 springs, however im not sure.

pics and link so said other threads.

2 threads up front and your only that low.... That doesnt sound right to me. Check to see if the two front struts are sitting as low as they should in the spindle.

ya your thread was the first one i saw.
i believe they are very similar in terms of thread count
    and strut length etc.
i think my install was messed up or something.
but i honestly have no idea

Hmm. Do you have spacers below the strut bearings? I dont really remember but i think my helpers are on the top of the coil spring on my streetlines and my springs are blue. Pos different spring rates?

    there arent any spacers.
does it matter where the helpers are?
the spring rates was something i was considering but wasn't sure.

i need someone whos got fk's to post a pic of their suspension components.

    this is annoying.

hmm maybe they just need to settle give them a day or two. Did you put any anti seice on those threads? Its a good idea streetlines oxidize fast.

thats what i initially thought, though they have been on for about 13-15 days.
and they were treated with anti seize.

im trying to get a hold of the guy who put them on
and see if he can take a look at them.

The only thing I can think of is you have a different spring rate or something. Im actually lower than you with 12 threads left but im vr, and thats alot more weight.

i just talked to the guy who put them in
he said there all the way down in the spindle
and there aren't any spacers on the struts.

im starting to think its the springs mabye.
mine are yellow not blue like on every website ive seen.

    ya its weird ha.
i really think it might be the different springs.
    i.e. blue vs yellow springs.
does anyone know if this might be true?

and im considering pulling my helpers and adding a couple threads before h2o.

I remember hearing that they switched to yellow springs so that they looked like their other coilover kits?

so its just for looks =/

i only considered this because every thread of someone dumped on streetlines has the blue springs, so that got me thinking.

There is no difference between the blue and yellow springs other than the color. I have the yellow spring streetlines and I'm low.

the older ones with the blue springs go a little lower with the helpers in. i believe the spring is either shorter or its rate is different and lets the car sit lower.
i have the newer ones, and with the helpers in, and perches in i sit just about where you are.

I am pretty sure mine are in correctly.
Just an excuse to pull the helpers.

I put mine with yellow springs in about a month ago and im on sixteens with 15 or more threads left and my subframe is just about on the ground, but my helper springs are completely compressed they dont look like yours at all and im not sure I did it right either.
